Join us for the 16th Annual Mac-N-Cheese Bowl on Saturday, October 17, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. as Remsen Street in Downtown Cohoes transforms into a mac-n-cheese lover's paradise!

Sample delicious creations from local restaurants, check out our new Family Fun Zone, browse local vendors, and take in a full day of entertainment and family-friendly fun. Best of all, every ticket sold helps support the Regional Food Bank's mission to alleviate hunger throughout our community.

This morning, we joined friends, supporters, volunteers, and community partners to announce our 2026 Thanksgiving Distribution.

Together, we'll provide 575,000 meals to 100,000 neighbors across 45 distribution sites throughout our 23-county service area, plus 10,000 meals for seniors living in low-income housing communities.

A special thank you to our presenting sponsors, Market 32/Price Chopper and Highmark Blue Shield of Northeastern New York, whose support helps make this historic effort possible.

This incredible undertaking is only possible because of the generosity of our donors, businesses, organizations, volunteers, and community partners. To make it happen, we need 4,500 volunteers.

Food is medicine, and the results are changing lives.
We were proud to welcome Feeding America to learn about our innovative Food As Medicine program, a proven approach that connects neighbors with nutritious food, fresh local produce and healthcare support.

The impact speaks for itself:
• 10% reduction in food insecurity
• 45% fewer overnight hospitalizations
• 2.1% reduction in A1c levels
• 20% improvement in overall well-being
• 37% increase in fruit and vegetable consumption

As our CEO Tom Nardacci shared, this work demonstrates the impact nutritious food can have on health and well-being:

We were so excited to welcome former New York Giants running back and Super Bowl MVP Ottis “O.J.” Anderson, who joined Healey Brothers and our volunteers at our Hudson Valley Distribution Center in Montgomery!

Together, they helped sort food for our neighbors while shining a light on the ongoing need across the Hudson Valley.

We’re grateful to O.J. for his time and commitment to giving back, and to Healey Brothers for their continued partnership and support in helping make the day possible.

Like so many of our partners, Prabhuji Food Distribution has experienced a 25% increase in demand this year. Despite the growing need, they have continued to serve their community with compassion, dignity, and an unwavering commitment to their Ulster County neighbors.

As demand increased, transportation became a challenge. Through the Food Bank's FoodForward program, we provided funding to help purchase a new truck, expanding Prabhuji's capacity to distribute food and reach more families in need.

Together, we're investing in solutions that strengthen local food access and ensure our neighbors receive the nutritious food we all need to thrive.
