Welcome September!

In Hebrew, Compassion means: Racham - to love deeply, show mercy, have tender affection, or demonstrate compassion (Strong’s H7355).

Compassion, we hear this term quite a bit particularly during times of grief, sickness, and throughout faith-based/healthcare settings.

Yet, Christ in every situation of our lives, demonstrates compassion. His tender mercies move beyond job layoffs driven by rigid protocols or key performance indicators (KPIs), piercing even the hardest hearts and reminding leaders to keep people at the center of care.

When the focus is on serving people well, Christ's love and compassion that work within the believer become evident throughout our daily interactions.

So many lives can be destroyed because of vicious gossip! Whether in the workplace, at school, or home, it’s malignant and God hates it! Great teaching!

The contrast here is striking when we look at this through the lens of Christ's protection.

It is wise to seek Christ before making decisions, for His wisdom provides protection that money cannot buy nor see.

We all live in an environment where there is not a lack of solicited or unsolicited advice. Some pay very well for guidance on matters that are dear to their heart to seek answers they do not know.

Yet, the answers we seek are freely given, and it's all from the one who created, loves, and knows us the most.

This verse of scripture reminds the believer above all else, go to God first, with our issues, questions, and problems. He has all the answers and will gently lead us in the right direction.

There are moments in life when answers don't come quickly and circumstances feel uncertain. Yet God's peace is not dependent on everything going well. It is a gift He gives to those who place their trust in Him. This peace goes beyond human understanding because it remains steady even in the middle of life's storms.

When we bring our worries to the Lord, He doesn't always remove every challenge immediately, but He faithfully guards our hearts from fear and our minds from being overwhelmed. In Christ, we can rest with confidence, knowing that God is present, faithful, and in control.
