“ He’s really the best! Thank y’all for rescuing him so I could find him 💙”

We are so happy to report. Andy has been adopted !! As you may recall, he lost his elderly family. He was very confused.  He needed to be groomed and he needed some vet care.

A friend of Poodle Patch reached out to us to see if we could help him. We had a wonderful repeat Adopter reach out  to foster him. They said they would be happy to Foster.  Sometimes we are so blessed when a situation presents itself . We are thankful  for the handful of volunteers we have. We always need more as the need is never ending.


When Andy went to foster after vet visit , it never occurred to us that Andy may be at his last home. His forever home was going to be his foster home.

We are so happy to say he never has to move again. He is in his forever home and it is a wonderful loving home who adores him.

Andy’s foster mom sent a cute message with pics today. He’s the Shihtzu

“…Here’s your smile for the day! He thinks he can do anything Bentley does 😂 He really is the sweetest thing. He loves belly rubs, he loves the other dogs, loves the grandkids, loves riding in the car. He’s super playful, he has had some accidents in the house but always goes outside when you ask him if he needs to. He really deserves a great home…”

Andy is a 2 year old, 20 lb Shih Tzu who listens to his person due to illness. He is vetted and ready for adoption

Andy made it to his foster home after the vet visit. He lost his person due to illness. We had to completely shave him down but he will be grown back out in no time. He is a 20 lb Shih Tzu only 2 years old, vetted and ready for his forever home. From his foster,

“…He’s very playful 💙 He ended up sleeping in my bed. He was nice and stayed at the foot all night long. He still hasn’t eaten much at all so I’m hoping he will overcome that soon, he may still be grieving…”

One more foster needed in or around Cabot, Little Rock, Hot Springs, Texarkana or possibly further if we need to get transport help.

Andy is a 2 year old, 20 lb Shih Tzu who lost his person due to illness. He will be available for adoption as soon as we can find a foster home. You can apply to adopt now if you would like. Just visit the site.

He is now neutered, vet checked, vaccinated, heartworm negative, on a 6 month heartworm injection, and shaved down. He gets along well with everyone just needs a break. He is potty trained as well.

Good morning we are in need of two Foster homes in the Little Rock or surrounding area. Both of these babies have lost their homes due to their people‘s illness.  They are unrelated from two different homes. If you can Foster, we would greatly appreciate it. We’re going to be having them checked out at the vet and groomed and they will need Foster homes asap

We wanted to wait until Shasta was out of the woods to share an update on her. She had to have a very unique surgery in order to continue living.

 She is still recovering and has now been adopted by her foster family. We know she will live the best life ever. She was surrendered to us after all of her siblings were sold. She was the one remaining puppy with a big problem.

We were told by the breeder she needed a very expensive surgery in order to live. We prayed and we asked y’all for prayers. We decided to take her and see if we could help as we were told they had no funds for the surgery or means to take care of her.

With only a handful of veterinarians within driving distance who perform the surgery we looked at our list and we were happy to see a familiar name.

 A volunteer took vacation days from her actual job and began the trip. Luckily her sister agreed to go with her because this could’ve been a very sad trip. The choices were expected
1) she is either a candidate for surgery or
2) she has to be euthanized.

She was born with one kidney. Ureter not attached to bladder or kidney . She had a rash from the urine that uncontrollably spilled out of her. She was thin and seemed tired.

The doctor said she was very sick. But she was hopeful and spoke with other vets and human doctors. After a few days of hospital stay (she was loaded with infection and worms) to get her strong enough. A very unique surgery was performed to save her life.

A stent was inserted to attach the urether to the bladder and kidney. We prayed her body would accept this and she did well with positive updates flowing in. We continued to pray. Her foster family who were round the clock caretakers fell in love and decided to adopt her during this.

She is still on medication for incontinent but otherwise doing well and improving each day. She is most importantly acting and playing like a normal puppy.

Thanks for all those who helped and prayed for this miracle
