Lights. Sound. Action....Temple Civic Theatre is Looking for Its Next TD!
Temple Civic Theatre is looking for a hands-on, people-first Technical Director to join our team. This is a full-time role working closely with Managing Artistic Director Natasha Tolleson to oversee all technical aspects of TCT productions — lighting, sound, set design and construction, and facility maintenance.
The right person leads with confidence, communicates clearly, and genuinely enjoys mentoring volunteers and collaborating with creative teams. You're organized, flexible, and comfortable with the reality that theatre seasons come with long nights and busy weekends. You take pride in your craft and want to grow with it.
Day to day, you'll manage technical equipment, create construction drawings and floor plans, build and supervise sets, run Tech Week and Strike for every production, and keep the scene shop running safely and efficiently. You'll also help recruit and train volunteer crews and work with the M/AD on budgets and capital equipment decisions.
A background in technical theatre is required, and physical demands include climbing, lifting, and working in tight spaces. Relocation to Temple, TX is required. Submit your resume to: [email protected]
