Temple Civic Theatre

Temple Civic Theatre Non-profit community theatre TCT produces 5-6 shows during the Main Stage Series and several Spotlight productions; as well as children's theatre.

The heart of TCT is its volunteers. Actors, stage managers, props and costumes, make-up and technical staff are all volunteers from the Bell County community. The Temple Civic Theatre is tucked into a great area between Scott & White Hospital and Temple College.

Our Annual Membership Meeting was a wonderful opportunity to come together, celebrate what we’ve accomplished and look ahead to our new season!

One of the highlights of the evening was recognizing our Volunteers of the Year, Charles Wilson and Thomas Gibson. These two gentlemen constantly step up and help the Theatre in any way it needs, so often without being asked. We're so incredibly grateful for the time, talent, and heart they give to TCT.

We also took a moment to say thank you and goodbye to three members of our Board of Governors: Abbie Atkinson, Chuck Ellis and Patrick Guillen whose service and dedication have helped guide the Theatre. At the same time, we were excited to welcome and officially install four new members to the Board: Susan Proctor, Allen Roark, Kimberly Uyechi and Kathryn Hermans. We’re thankful for those who have served and excited for the new ideas, and leadership our incoming members will bring.

Temple Civic Theatre hosted the annual President’s Coffee for the Contemporaries of the CAC on Aug 19th. Anne Jie is the 26-27 Contemporaries President. The ladies honored past presidents and discussed upcoming events. Natasha Tolleson, Managing Artistic Director of the theatre, presented a program on the value of our community theatre. Norman Northern, the Theatre Board of Governors President, also welcomed the group.

Featuring playwrights from all around the country, the New Works Festival will be August 14 -16. Tickets are available for $10 per night, or you can purchase a New Works Pass for $20. The pass will get you into all 3 days of performances.
