Welcome to Field of Flowers, the newest public eco-art installation at Teaneck Creek!

Newly installed, upcycled plastic and ceramic flowers grace the slope along DeGraw avenue amongst the organic blooms. Be sure to stop by and check out our newest public art! Join us this afternoon, Thursday October 15 to celebrate - details below.

Celebrate the completion of Teaneck Creek's newest community art installation: Field of Flowers. Designed by Mary Martire and created by her students at the Rodda Center, DeGraw Avenue is now in perpetual bloom. Join Mary, her students, the TCC Eco-Art Committee, and the Teaneck Creek Conservancy Board to celebrate the completion of Field of Flowers art installation with a community gathering and a meet-the-artists On Thursday, October 16, 2026 at 3pm.

Field of Flowers is part of the Conservancy's effort to revitalize the DeGraw Avenue portion of the park. This art installation was made possible by funds from the Bergen County Division of Cultural & Historic Affairs, a partner of the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.

Welcome to Field of Flowers, the newest public eco-art installation at Teaneck Creek!

Students from the Rodda Center visit the installation site to install the flowers. Their ceramic and plastic flowers are installed upon rebar posts which are covered in garden hose.

BCAS Mid-October Walk

Join Bergen County Audubon Society (BCAS) and Teaneck Creek Conservancy (TCC) for a guided walk. We’ll look and listen for birds, insects, and wildlife, and observe nature.

BCAS offers two walks monthly at Teaneck Creek. Birders of all levels and interests are welcome to attend; guides will be available to help newer birders with bird ID. Programs with BCAS are part of TCC's year-round suite of free public programs.

Community Science Saturday: Changing Colors and Decomposers
Saturday, October 17

Explore TCC through the seasons on a walk with George Tsapellas and participate in community science by learning how to document what you see on your phone using iNaturalist or Seek. Each month will highlight a different part of the park, focusing on specific habitats and plants.

George is an avid user of iNaturalist and has been cultivating knowledge about local plants and wildlife for many years.

Before the program, install the iNaturalist app on your phone, create an account, and join Teaneck Creek Conservancy under “Projects”.
Seek by iNaturalist is available for younger participants.
