Today marks the beginning of National Recovery Month — a time to recognize, celebrate, and stand beside everyone whose life has been touched by addiction and recovery.
Recovery isn’t always a straight line. It can be messy. It can be painful. There may be setbacks, hard days, and moments when giving up feels easier than continuing. But recovery is also proof of strength. It’s waking up and choosing another day. It’s asking for help. It’s rebuilding relationships. It’s learning to forgive yourself. It’s becoming the person you were always capable of being.
To anyone currently struggling: Your story is not over, your next chapter is waiting to be written with your hand on the pen.
