Something very special happened to wrap up our time at the KY State Leadership Confernece. Last year, our very own Hadlea Roberts was elected as the KY V.P. of Community Service. In this office, she was given the task of determining the state wide community service project for a 2 year cycle. What she accomplished was designing a platform from the ground up to support pediatric cancer patients. Rally the Red donated over $7000, and 1,000 acts of service were performed across the state. Little did she know at this SLC, she would get to pass the office and the responsibility of continuing to grow Rally the Red to her very good friend and fellow Spencer Co. FCCLA member, Gavin Bowling. Congratulations to them both, and we can't wait to see your continued success within the FCCLA organization.

We have been hard at work today at SLC! Members either competed in competitive events or served as assistant room consultants. Kendall Slaughter has been juggling all the responsibility of being an intern and a national officer. Gavin Bowling completed interviews and shared his voice as a state officer candidate, and Hadlea Roberts is running the show with the other state officers! More SLC updates to come!

Proud of our National Officer! Well done Kendall!

We are incredibly proud of Spencer County High School senior Kendall Slaughter. Kendall recently testified before the House Primary and Secondary Education Committee during the Kentucky General Assembly Regular Session, and she was absolutely remarkable!!!

She spoke with poise, confidence! Her ability to represent our students and our community with such clarity and purpose is truly inspiring.

Kendall’s leadership and willingness to use her voice for meaningful impact reflect the best of Spencer County Schools. We could not be more proud of her.
