Direct representation can change more than one life at a time. At , Allison will be discussing how parole preparation differs from classic criminal defense, why it takes a multidisciplinary approach, and how far its impact can reach.

Our Time Served attorneys were proud to celebrate Constitution Day in classrooms across the Upstate.

Four of our Time Served attorneys visited THREE different schools across the Upstate of South Carolina, sharing an interactive and engaging look at the Constitution, how it shapes our government, and how it protects their rights.

A huge thank you to the South Carolina Bar for inviting our team to be a part of this special day. We are grateful to be able to connect with students in our community and share more about the legal system.

On Thursday, October 1, 2026, Time Served's very own Executive Director and Co-Founder, Allison Elder, will be joining the South Carolina Bar Civil Rights Section and Bryan Stevenson for a CLE Program, "Beyond Just Mercy: Civil Rights, Criminal Justice, and the Lawyer's Role in Reform".

This educational event for lawyers will examine civil rights, wrongful convictions, due process, and the lawyer's ethical and professional responsibilities in safeguarding constitutional rights.

We are so honored and humbled to have our work featured alongside the visionary work of Bryan Stevenson. We share his belief that “each of us is more than the worst thing we've ever done,” and we look forward to discussing a brighter future for system-impacted South Carolinians.

✨Feature Friday✨

This Friday morning was made a little sweeter by this feature of our partners at Soteria Community Development Corporation and our Board Chair, Jerry Blassingame!

Through our partnership, we regularly serve Soteria participants with their reentry legal needs and reach the wider community through joint record cleaning clinics. We are deeply grateful for Jerry's leadership in reentry and affordable housing, as well as on our Board.

Oscar Jimenez spent most of his adult life cycling through prisons across the U.S. He credits God, his little brother and a found family at Soteria for giving him a chance at a new life.
