ELEMENTARY MATH: HANDS-ON MATH
Target Levels: Ages 9 - 11
10 Weeks
Pi Slice Café is a math class where kids learn fractions, decimals, multiplication, division, and problem-solving. Lessons are hands-on and fun, using pizza, pie, and café-themed activities to help students understand and practice math. Students play games, solve problems, and see how math works in real life.
Weekly Topics / Learning Objectives:
Week 1 – Fraction Foundations & Number Sense
Week 2 – Equivalent Fractions
Week 3 – Comparing & Ordering Fractions
Week 4 – Adding Fractions (Like Denominators)
Week 5 – Subtracting Fractions (Like Denominators)
Week 6 – Multiplication: Multi-Digit Review
Week 7 – Division Concepts & Long Division Introduction
Week 8 – Long Division Practice & Word Problems
Week 9 – Decimals & Fraction Connections
Week 10 – Review, Strategy & Math Confidence
By the end of the course, students will be able to:
• Demonstrate understanding of fractions, decimals, and their relationships
• Accurately perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division operations
• Solve real-world, multi-step word problems
• Apply math strategies and reasoning in engaging, hands-on contexts
To get the most out of Pi Slice Café, students should be able to:
• Add and subtract whole numbers confidently
• Multiply and divide 1–2 digit numbers
• Solve simple word problems
• Be ready to work independently or in small groups and try hands-on activities
No prior knowledge of fractions, decimals, or long division is needed—we will cover everything step by step

With over 11 years of experience in design, development, and creative industries, she is a skilled and versatile educator. As a business owner, she has worked with clients such as Ge**er Baby and Fox Networks Group, along with local agencies.
Her background in advertising, education, and business has shaped her strengths in creativity, communication, and teaching. A former preschool teacher, she brings patience and clarity into every class.
She is also a homeschool mom of three and is passionate about creating engaging, hands-on learning experiences that help students grow in confidence, creativity, and practical skills.
