2026 FLYRA Elementary Track & Field State Championship: 1 Individual STATE CHAMPION + 7 State Medalists + 2 Relay State Medalists + 25 Personal Records!

Fourth grader Aliana Alvarez won the individual state title in the 1500m and earned a total of three medals with her performances in the 1500m, 800m, and 4x100m. Emma Williams and Jett Forward also left the state meet as TRIPLE medalists and Amelia Hernandez took home two medals as Tavares Red Sea placed 3 girls in the top 8 of the 1500m. Red Sea Running Club had a huge presence in the elementary distance races, winning 5 girls medals in the 800/1500 and achieved 3 boys results in the top 15.

Jett Forward also individually medaled in the long jump.

Both boys and girls 4x800m teams won medals, with the boys (Jett, Jordan, Israel, Noah) placing 8th and the girls (Aliana, Emma, Alizeah, Amelia) placing 7th.

We are really proud to coach Aliana and her amazing elementary teammates these past few years. Their middle school teammates are so proud of all of them as they watch them grow up in the sport!

Shout out to her incredible (state champion!) elementary teammates Emma, Amelia, Avery, Alizeah and Tinzleigh for pushing Ali in practice each day!

Aliana Alvarez of Tavares Middle School and the Red Seas Running Club is rewriting the Standard for Youth Distance Running in Florida, establishing herself as one of the premier youth distance runners in the country.
