Nobody ever got her name right.
Nobody ever truly saw her.
And nobody ever saw it coming.
On prom night, everything changes.

See whose name they’ll be screaming then…and maybe even you…

Bay Street Players’ production of Carrie: The Musical runs October 30th-November 15th!

Carrie White is a teenage outcast who longs to fit in. At school, she’s bullied by the popular crowd, and virtually invisible to everyone else. At home, she’s dominated by her loving but cruelly controlling mother. What none of them know is that Carrie’s just discovered she’s got a special power, and if pushed too far, she’s not afraid to use it.

Set in the small New England town of Chamberlain, Maine, Carrie: The Musical features a book by Lawrence D. Cohen (screenwriter of the classic film), music by Academy Award winner Michael Gore (Fame, Terms of Endearment), and lyrics by Academy Award winner Dean Pitchford (Fame, Footloose).

CARRIE THE MUSICAL is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals.

It’s been 2 weeks since we have closed Rent. We want to thank everyone who stopped by the theatre to experience this heartfelt story and all the hard work our volunteers put on the stage and off, whether it was your first time, or your 70th viewing.

Thank you for all the kind words from the community and for sharing your love and support. From buying items from our makers’ market to support Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, to leaving a message in chalk on our community board, this show has showed us that living for no day but today goes a long way.

Thank you to ADI for providing audio description and to Tampa Bay Interpreted Performing Arts for providing ASL interpretation so more people could share in the love.
