Come take a walk with the Bushkill Stream Conservancy at Ballas Meadow Preserve! 🌿
We’ll be exploring a little over a mile of the preserve with Kerry Reider, Bushkill Township’s Open Space Coordinator, and learning how the meadow was established, how it’s cared for today, and why things like weeding and prescribed burns are part of that work.
Join us Wednesday, September 16 at Ballas Park in Wind Gap. Wear comfortable shoes and come ready to wander and learn a little along the way.

Would anyone be interested in subscribing to my comprehensive events calendar? It includes environment, sustainability, earth sciences, gardening/planting, and cleanup events in the watershed, including those hosted by us, Nurture Nature Center, Easton EAC, Palmer ESC, Jacobsburg Environmental Education Center, Penn State Extension, Trout Unlimited, Karl Stirner Arts Trail, Wildlands Conservancy, City of Easton Urban Conservation & Sustainability Bureau, and the Northampton County Conservation District, among others. Reminder - Lafayette College will host a the third in-person community meeting for the Easton-Palmer-Forks Regional Multimodal Trail Planning Project on September 1 at 5:30 p.m.
This will also be combined with a Lafayette College Community Town Hall.
