Biking for Kids Under Fire

Awful fire attacks continue as "kites," rockets, bombs are launched from Gaza in an attempt to burn Israeli kibbutzim, the land there and around, nature preserves, people, etc. These photos show some scenes. We send our concern and our support to Israeli children and adults having to live with the fears and tensions 24/7 of their most "unpeaceful" Gazan neighbors trying to wreak murder and carnage.

The camera can’t convey the smell of smoke, nor the feeling of anger, pain and helplessness, but it accurately perpetuates the reality of life in communities on the Gaza border: The yellow fields painted black, the scorched nature reserves, and the firefighters and farmers together trying to save ...

The Harris and Sulzer families had such an AMAZING and moving visit to one of the bike clubs at K'far Aza this summer. The program is doing an incredible job of helping the kids along the Gaza border to feel empowered and in control of their lives. The experience was an absolute highlight of our trip to Israel! This is a program worthy of support and we encourage anyone traveling to Israel to pay them a visit.

Ulla, the leader of one of our biking clubs along the Gaza border, writes of activities these days. After withstanding constant bombardment from Gaza and the fear of Gazan terrorists digging tunnels under Israeli land so as to appear in Israeli homes, this quote is certainly right on the mark: "Nothing happens without having an affect on young children spirits."
