SharkCon is inside the Entertainment Hall at the Florida State Fairgrounds July 16-17, 2022 from 9-5. Parking is $8 and Kids $4.95 Adults $19.95 when you purchase tickets in advance (prices increase the day before the event). An annual event to promote awareness of ocean/ shark conservation and water-sports (scuba diving, kayaking, paddle boarding). We are going to have speakers from Nat Geo and Discovery channel as well as other exhibits. A portion of the proceeds will go to conservation efforts and shark research.

I can’t recommend this movie enough. It is total 70s exploitation camp. Whether it’s when the main character meets the shark shaman who gives him an amulet to keep him safe or the largest man I’ve ever seen get eaten or the line “Get out of here you shark lover!” It is hilarious.They did use real sharks so some of it is very cringe and not okay. The main character does talk about of the importance of sharks though. Although the sharks are tiger sharks not makos, which only adds to the camp of it all.

Not bad. Acting is pretty good. A mix of The Reef and The Shallows. CGI isn’t great but not so much it’s distracting.
