New to Night at the Races? Here’s How It Works!
Never been to a horse race before? No worries — you don’t need to know anything about horse racing to join the fun!
Throughout the night, we’ll watch a series of horse races on the big screen. Before each race, you’ll have the opportunity to choose the horse you think will win.
🐎 Own a Horse
Before the event, you have the opportunity to purchase a horse.
Owning a horse gives you a horse to call your own and an extra reason to cheer when it takes the track!
But owning a horse does NOT mean that other guests cannot bet on it.
💵 Bet on Any Horse to win. (Win bets only)
Before each race, everyone will have a chance to place a bet on the horse they think will win.
You can bet on:
• A horse you own
• A horse someone else owns
• Your friend's horse
• The horse with the funniest name
• Or simply whatever number feels lucky!
You do not have to own a horse to bet on it.
🏇 Then We Race!
Once betting closes, the race will be shown on the big screen.
Pick your horse, cheer loudly, and see who crosses the finish line first!
If you picked the winning horse, you'll collect the appropriate winnings for that race. Winning prizes will be paid out in raffle tickets.
🎉 The Most Important Part
There is no horse-racing experience required.
Come ready to have fun, pick some horses, cheer with your friends, and support our organization.
Own a horse. Bet on a horse. Cheer on a horse. And enjoy a Night at the Races!

Tables and horses are still available! Get your group together, grab a table, or pick a race and name your own horse.

You can sign up through Cheddar Up or stop by the CATS TD Club booth at our home football games and we’ll get you taken care of.

Great job, Taft Union High School Wildcats Football!

And thank you to our members and sponsors for helping us support Wildcats Football!

It’s ALWAYS a great day to be a Wildcat, and today was no different. Our boys competed in the last 7 on 7 & Lineman Comp of the year, graciously put on by our league mate Wasco High… and we competed well!

Proud of our efforts today & of the growth we’ve achieved since last season’s end. We’re smarter, faster, and stronger & ready for the 2026 season to begin!

Two more weeks of summer camp to go… So two more weeks to get better ahead of the 2026 campaign!

Great job today, ‘Cats! Thank you to our training & equipment staff for their support today! And a big thank you to the CATS Touchdown Club for making sure our boys were fed before leaving town this morning! We appreciate you all!
