Screven County 12U wins District Runner-up in Claxton. This tournament began last Saturday and finished last night. These guys have played great all week. Congratulations to the players and coaches. They’ll be playing in the GRPA State Tournament starting June 23 at Morgan County along with our 14U Boys team.

Congratulations to our 8U Boys All-Stars for finishing as District 1 Runner-up. This tournament began on Saturday and they have competed all week at Dodge County. They had impressive wins during the week to make it to the championship game. This team will now compete in the GRPA State Tournament June 23-25 at the Screven County Recreation Complex. Be sure to come out and support these guys starting June 23. Way to go boys!

Probably the team that has shown the most improvement in a short time is our 8U Girls. Congratulations to this team for finishing as District Runner-up tonight in Metter. They started the tournament with a 15-7 loss to Glennville then had to work through the losers bracket to reach the final. They had big wins including a 16-1 win over Evans County, a 19-16 win over Glennville, and a 28-15 win over Metter. In the championship game they played a close game with Soperton but came up short by the score of 10-6. Congratulations to Screven County for winning the GRPA District 1 Runner-up awards and for qualifying for the GRPA State Championship starting June 23 at Appling County!

Congratulations to the Screven Co. 12U Girls team for winning the GRPA First District Tournament tonight with a 15-7 win over Dodge Co. in the championship game. They will advance to the GRPA State Tournament starting June 23 in Adel/Cook.

We had a great Church Softball League this season with 7 teams. It was good to see everyone come out to enjoy these games. A lot of fun was had and there was some very competitive games. Thank you to everyone who supported this league! Congratulations to Jackson Baptist for winning 1st place in the league as they really hit the ball well. We look forward to having this adult league again next season.🥎

We will be hosting the GRPA District 1 Class C Tournament for 12U Girls June 8-9 on field #2. Screven County’s first game will be Monday, June 8 at 6pm.

We will also be hosting the GRPA Class C State Tournaments for 10U Girls and 8U Boys June 23-25 on fields 5-8.

Good luck to all of our All-star teams as several of the district tournaments begin this Saturday and will continue through next week.
