Sunday 10/18 the Braves will be hosting a clinic at Brevard.
Typically a former Brave shows up for these and speaks to the Youth players. Ages 6-12, both Baseball and Softball are welcome.

SOFTBALL REGISTRATION Announcement!!
Registration will open at 6pm tonight Friday August 14th and will be closed on Sunday the 16th at 6pm.
There is a need for players in the following locations and divisions;
Coach Pitch
Cherokee/Swain needs two players
Jackson needs 5 players

The Fall season will most likely be a combination of the Minors and Majors Divisions, being ages 9-12. Once again this is Softball only.

Cherokee needs 4 players
Jackson needs 4-6 players

Registration is open for a few more Hours!!
PLEASE STOP AND READ the information below. This will assist both your family and player as well as the league with Fall Registration processes.

Registration for fall 2026 is open through Friday August 7th for Little League ages 4-12.

Registration Tips and Information

1. Know you players league age: Actual Age and League Age could be different. Please follow the link League Age Determination - Little League for the league age calculator.

2. Fall 2026 participation will be based on Spring 2027 Little League Ages. If the player is currently listed as league age 8 please add one year for registration. The little league site has not changed from Spring 2026 to Spring 2027 ages yet, but our registration ages have rolled forward.

3. Divisions
A. T-Ball 4 years old co-ed division can participate but only within the same age division. We will need 8-12 certified/verified coaches to make this possible. If this division doesn’t have enough participants, we will refund registration fee.

B. T-Ball 5–6 years Old co-ed division.

C. 6–8 years old Machine Pitch Baseball or 6-8 years old Coach Pitch Softball. A 6 year old player requires at least one previous year of T-Ball experience before moving up. Registration will not allow 6 years old players to register without league approval. Please reach out to request assistance.

D. 9-10 Minors Baseball and Softball

E. 11-12 Majors Baseball and Softball

4. Teams will be set based on coaches and volunteers at each location. DO NOT register at more than one location. If a Waitlist is being utilized at a location that you prefer please use the Waitlist. If you register at more than one
location it will be up to the board as to which location gets cancelled and which location, you will be assigned to a team.

5. MAKE SURE YOUR CONTACT INFORMATION is up to date. We do not know if you change phone number or email address. This will help the league or coaches contact you about your team and practice schedule.

6. All coaches and Volunteers must complete:
A. Background check through GSLL . Registering for 1 of the 4 volunteer positions is the only way GSLL can start the background check process. Once the volunteer form is complete an email verification will be sent. This has to be completed to authorize the process to begin.
B. Diamond Leader course certification through Little League University. Training - Little League
C. Abuse Awareness Training and Certification through Little League University. Training - Little League
Both certifications will allow a PDF of the certificate to be saved and must be emailed to [email protected].

We are down to the last hours to register for Fall Baseball and Softball. Please check your reistration email account for instruction and guidance on how to properly register for Fall Ball, regarding League ages and other matters. Looking forward to seeing you at the fields in September. Another post is forthcoming for those that are new to the league and do not have account in the system.

2026 TOC 7-8 State Machine Pitch Day 1 results;
Great Smokies Little League over Johnston County LL 11-4.
East Chatham LL over Great Smokies LL 6-5.
GSLL faces Lake Norman LL tomorrow morning. A win will advance them to the single elimination finals round.

Happy 250 America!! How much more American can you get than baseball on July 4th in the Bronx at Yankee Stadium. All the while, Great Smokies Little League Alum and Cullowhee NC native Zebby Matthews toes the rubber for the Twins and has a very solid 4.2 innings of work with 3 Hits, 4 Runs, 4 Walks and 5 Strikeouts!!! Another solid performance by the Twins Starter.
