Wisconsin gubernatorial race: And then there were four...

Ok, the TIPP Polling data has been fairly accurate over the last six presidential elections, accurately predicting every win. That said, it is June. Many things can happen in 5 months.

These four are the leaders of the left-wing candidates. Two liberals, and two progressives. We don't believe any of the other candidates stand a chance in the primary on August 11th. There is a reason that liberals poll better than progressives in our state.

For those of you who were involved in or following the senate campaign of 2022, we saw a candidate who mirrored Tony Evers' policy lose to a do-nothing, regressive nutjob. That candidate lost because of the color of his skin. Tony Evers won by a margin of 3.4% against Republican nominee Tim Michels; Mandela Barnes lost to Ron Johnson by a margin of 1.1%.

I know we don't want to talk about the racism and misogyny in our state, but it is time.

Rural and suburban Wisconsin is filled with racists and misogynists. As someone who has lived in Vilas, Waukesha, Outagamie, Door, and Brown counties I can attest to this.

Those racists cross the political divide. We have lots of older, white, Wisconsin "democrats" who won't vote for a person of color or a woman.

Perhaps 2026 is the year that will change. but I wouldn't bet my retirement on it.

We are deeply concerned about the gubernatorial race. We need a progressive. That may not be possible.

Breaking: The Wisconsin Supreme Court will take up an appeal of a lawsuit dismissed in April that claims the state’s eight congressional districts represent an “anti-competitive gerrymander.”

Only two of the eight congressional districts in Wisconsin have a progressive majority of voters. For years, the regressive majority in Wisconsin's state legislature has gerrymandered the congressional district maps. Governor Evers made a start by adopting a new map, but in April, a lower court ruled against a lawsuit filed to make our congressional districts reflect the voters of Wisconsin who typically vote 60% democrat and 40% republican on statewide elections.

Back in April, we excoriated the State Supreme court and urged them to consider an appeal. They are finally doing so, but progressive justices Rebecca Dallet, Janet Protasiewicz, Susan Crawford and Chief Justice Jill Karofsky denied the request from the Wisconsin Business Leaders for Democracy to expedite the appeal.

While re-looking our gerrymandered districts is great news, it is apparent that our Governor, our State Attorney General, and our Progressive State Supreme Court don't seem to understand that it is time to stop being "Wisconsin Nice." We are 5 months from the November 3rd election. There is ample time to hear an expedited case and change our district maps. Other states seem to be capable of doing so, why isn't Wisconsin?

It is time to break glass, to show up at a knife fight with a machine gun. We are sick and tired of weak and delayed responses to the attacks on our national and state constitutions.

The League of Women Voters of Wisconsin is suing the Wisconsin Elections Commission

“mail-in absentee ballots are jeopardized by the lack of mandatory notice and curing opportunities across the state.”

An outcome of the recent rejection of 23 ballots in Dane County and the subsequent Wisconsin judicial ruling in favor of the voters,
the League of Women Voters of Wisconsin alleges that current election law violates the Wisconsin Constitution by giving clerks a vast amount of discretion over whether to reject ballots.

Right now, the law tells clerks that they “may” return incomplete absentee ballots to voters. That results in some municipal clerks sending voters prompt notice about faulty ballots, while other clerks put those ballots in the rejected pile without informing the voter at all, the lawsuit states.

We anticipate that this will be a win for the League of Women Voters of Wisconsin and voters across our state.

Lies, half-truths, and scams. The Iran War information operation vs. reality.

I have remained mostly silent on the Iran war, but, as a veteran it is time to start posting the reality behind the lies of Trump and his regressive administration. The lies about negotiations with Iran are comparable to the lies that Trump spreads about election fraud so there is a tie here.

I am a former infantry and air defense artillery officer, a qualified foreign area officer, a Brigadier General Benjamin H. Grierson Awardee for Excellence in Strategic Studies, a Harvard National Security Fellow, and an MIT Seminar XXI fellow. I have served at the highest levels in the US military with service in the Pentagon and multiple Joint and Army four-star commands.

At the Naval Post Graduate School, I spent two years in a master's program studying international security relations, at Harvard I spent a year studying global energy policy, at MIT I spent a year wargaming US national security. I list those qualifications to establish my credentials.

Trump, Hegseth, Rubio, Bessent, and CENTCOM are lying to you. Every announcement of a breakthrough in negotiations or the conduct of operations against Iran is pure, unadulterated bu****it.

There is a cycle tied to the oil futures market and the stock market. Every week a new announcement about negotiations or operations, every week a new fluctuation in the market. Why does Axios always have the scoop? Why is Senator Warnock investigating oil trades? Why was Hegseth's Morgan Stanley broker trying to buy into Blackrock ahead of the war? Who is behind the trades and who is feeding information to Axios to sustain the cycle? Who is profiting?

Where are the rescued pilots? You can't tell me that this shyster of a president wouldn't parade the two rescued pilots in a media op. You can't tell me that he wouldn't award them the CMH in an event at the White House. It is long past time for them to be in a condition to talk, for their names to be released, for the administration to use them as a photo op. There is no national security reason not to.

Why haven't they? because I believe that the pilot and REO don't exist. That the operation to "rescue" them was really a failed SOCOM operation to try to seize Iranian Nuclear materials. A repeat of "Desert One" with the same outcome...complete failure.

The mainstream media just regurgitates everything the Trump administration tells them...and the markets react. It is all lies. There is shuttle diplomacy going on through several intermediaries, but if you want to get closer to the truth, you need to check the Iranian news agency and Al Jazeera.

Not that they don't have an agenda as well, but it is pretty sad when the Iranian national news outlet is more accurate than ours.

MADISON, Wis. — In a major victory for voters, a federal court has dismissed the Trump administration’s lawsuit — an unprecedented overreach into state election administration — seeking to force Wisconsin to hand over the complete, unredacted electronic voter registration list of every voter in the state.

The ruling in "United States v. Wisconsin Elections Commission" ends the U.S. Department of Justice’s unlawful attempt to invoke a 1960 civil rights law to compel Wisconsin to turn over sensitive personal voter data, including partial Social Security numbers and driver's license numbers. State and federal laws prohibit the release of this information.

Will your mail in ballot be late? Yes...

Yesterday, the Wisconsin Elections Commission asked the U.S. Postal Service for “extraordinary measures” to speed up deliveries of absentee ballots after two-thirds of Wisconsin clerks reported problems during the April 7 election.

The delays were so bad that one longtime clerk called it “the worst ever” in her nearly three decades of handling elections.

Why?

In 2025, "DOGE" cut 10,000 postal worker jobs on top of 30,000 positions that were eliminated since fiscal year 2021.

In addition to those personnel cuts, Trump's USPS appointees have reduced the number of large regional hubs from approximately 200 centers to around 60, leading to deliveries being delayed by as much as two months during the 2025 holiday season.

Trump has repeatedly attacked the USPS and wants to eliminate mail in ballots.

Don't expect "extraordinary measures" ahead of the November 3rd election. They won't happen. Make plans, mail your ballot as soon as you receive it, or drop it off with your local election clerk during early voting.

And that is just what Trump appointed U.S. District of Columbia Court judge and Federalist Society member Carl Nichols is.

On March 31, Trump signed an executive order that included tasking the Department of Homeland Security to create “state citizenship lists” from federal citizenship and naturalization records, Social Security records, and other federal databases.

This list would then be used to help state election officials verify their voter rolls and determine who is eligible to vote, with the U.S. Postal Service only allowed to deliver ballots to these approved voters.

Democrats filed a lawsuit to block the executive order but "Judge" Nichols ruled that:

“Given that the Executive Order does not command Plaintiffs to do anything, and that no agency has yet acted pursuant to the Order in a way that could harm Plaintiffs, they have not suffered any harm at present,”

We will have to wait until the executive order is implemented immediately ahead of the November 3rd election to file another lawsuit, which will be too late...
