Volunteer Spotlight: Kayla!
A big THANK YOU to Kayla for giving Monica and several other dogs much-needed baths this week! Kayla has been volunteering with Saving Sumter’s Strays for several years, and we are so grateful to have her as part of our team. She loves walking and socializing the dogs, helping them feel loved and cared for while they wait for their forever homes. Volunteers like Kayla make such a difference in the lives of our shelter dogs. Thank you for your time, your dedication, and your big heart for our dogs! Savingsumterstrays.com/volunteer

Meet Wesley! Wesley is just a puppy and is ready to find a family of his own! This adorable little guy is a 4–5-month-old male weighing 28 pounds, and he is cute as a button! Wesley was found wandering alone through a neighborhood, clearly lost. Sadly, no one has come forward to claim him, so now this precious puppy is looking for a new family to call his own. Wesley is a puppy in every way—sweet, playful, curious, and full of personality! He will need the time, patience, training, and guidance that every young puppy needs, but in return, he will give his family plenty of laughs, lots of love, and a lifetime of companionship. Wesley is waiting for his forever family!

Charlotte is a lovely girl who has sadly lost the only home she has ever known through no fault of her own.. Charlotte is her real name, and now this sweet girl is looking for a new family to call her own. At approximately 5 years old and 46 pounds, Charlotte is a wonderful medium-sized girl who has so much love to give. She walks nicely on a leash, and absolutely loves people and other dogs. Brew is a handsome 44-pound boy, approximately 2 years old, who is ready to find the loving forever home he deserves. This sweet fella was found wandering alone with some small injuries. After some much-needed time to heal, Brew is feeling better and is now ready to start the next chapter of his life. He absolutely loves the volunteers and will often wait by his kennel door, hoping it’s time for his walk! He would love a family who will give him plenty of attention and playtime. A fenced-in yard is required so Brew has a safe place to run and play. Savingsumterstrays.com/adopt

Just look at this gorgeous girl! Cammie is absolutely stunning and waiting for someone to see what a special girl she is. Cammie weighs 59 pounds and is approximately 1–3 years old. She still has some puppy energy and loves to play outside, go for walks, and enjoy time with her people. Sadly, beautiful black dogs are often overlooked in shelters. We just don't understand it because Cammie is one of those dogs who deserves to be noticed! She doesn't need everyone to choose her. She just needs ONE person to fall in love with her sweet face, and realize that she could be the perfect addition to their family. Savingsumterstrays.com/adopt

Looking for a tiny dog with a big personality? Meet Oreo! This adorable little Chihuahua mix is just 1 year old and weighs only 16 pounds, making him the perfect size for someone looking for a small companion to share their home. Like many Chihuahuas, Oreo has a confident, spirited personality and knows exactly what he likes! He would be happiest as the only dog in the home where he can soak up all the love and attention. While he can be selective with other dogs, slow, proper introductions may help him get along with the right canine companion. Oreo is a wonderful little indoor pup who would love a family that understands his breed and appreciates his spunky charm. Because of his small size and strong personality, he may not be the best fit for a home with young children. He can't wait to find a family that will love him just the way he is. savingsumterstrays.com/adopt
