Preventing car burglaries isn’t just important to you - it’s important to us. You can help prevent your valuables from being stolen by following a .

Every night before you head to bed, make sure you:
-Lock your vehicle doors.
-Turn on outside lights.
-Remove everything from your vehicle.

If a thief walks by and sees a gym bag in your vehicle, they don’t assume it’s full of sweaty clothes, they assume it’s full of something worth stealing. Another important step you can take in preventing and catching crime is to check security camera placement, function, and video quality.

If you see something suspicious, call the non-emergency line ASAP (281-275-2020), or if a crime is in progress, call 9-1-1.

1 day down. 181 days to go. 🌪️

Hurricane Season has officially started, and unlike our unread emails, this is something we should probably stay on top of.

It's a great time to review your preparedness checklist, refresh your supplies, and sign up for emergency notifications so you can stay up to date on evacuation notices, water contamination issues and other notices to keep you and your family safe.

Interesting!

Heads up, Sugar Land. We’re always looking for ways to do the job better, and that means hearing it straight from the folks we serve.

Starting June 1, if you call 9-1-1 for Police service, you may be selected for a short 4-question survey about your experience with the call taker and responding officer.

It won’t take long. We figure if we’re doing things right, you ought to be able to say so. And if we’re not, we need to hear that too.
Your safety stays our top priority. This real-time feedback helps us keep our officers sharp and our service where it ought to be.

We understand that calling the police often means you are in distress or need help. We will not send surveys for emergencies or calls that are sensitive in nature. Surveys will only be sent approximately 30 minutes after the call has been completed on non-emergency calls, and the officer has finished assisting and clearing the scene.

Appreciate your time, Sugar Land.
