Welcome to Episode #6 of our series, “Picture This” from Turkey! This 6th episode is a unique one. It only includes spectacular footage and photos of our hot-air balloon ride over Cappadocia! The video does not include any teaching about Paul and the Bible, although Cappadocia is mentioned in the New Testament (Acts 2:9, 1 Peter 1:1-2). It was a beautiful and calm morning when we launched the balloon just before sunrise.

Welcome to "Bible Time Travelers" - Adventures in Israel for Kids! I have launched a new teaching series for kids, and it's all about traveling to Israel and exploring and learning the land of the Bible!

"Moshe" (our puppet) is our primary instructor for this new kids series. He will focus upon teaching the stories of the Bible through the lens of Israel's geography, archaeology, history, customs, and culture. Our aim is to teach the context of the Bible in a fun way for children. This will include teaching Bible stories from both the Old and New Testaments alike! This series will be ideal for home-schoolers and Sunday Schools!

This opening episode introduces the uniqueness of the land of Israel. The next episode will be shared later in November. Stay tuned!

Welcome to the premier episode of "Bible Time Travelers - Adventures in Israel for Kids!" I, along with our ministry ("Biblical Israel Ministries & Tours"), have launched this new teaching series designed for kids, and it's all about traveling to Israel and exploring and learning the land of the Bible!

"Moshe" (our puppet) is our primary instructor for this new kids series. This is "Light in the Land" Podcast #55! Today we walk through our recent October 2026 Israel Tour to give you a sense of how many biblical connections we make on each of our Israel trips. This recent "Holyland" trip was wonderful in every way... great weather, amazing group, many off-the-beaten-path sites (as usual), and connections with the Bible all day long. We literally walked in the footsteps of so many stories from both the OT and NT. This includes walking in Jesus' footsteps as well!

And of course safety was not an issue either. We saw more and more groups, an indication that Israel travel is resuming! I know safety concerns is still an issue for so many people. I continue to talk with people who tell me, "I would love to go to Israel, but I don't think it is safe, etc..." Fact is, Israel has been "back to normal" for a while now, and once you arrive and travel through the land, you understand that the perception of the "lack of safety" is not the case at all. Both our Israeli and Arab friends were glad to see us all!

Welcome to Episode #15 of our series, “Picture This” from Egypt! This last episode (at least for the time being) in this Egypt series takes us back to the western side of Luxor and specifically to the Valley of the Kings. We explore the royal tomb of Ramses IV in this episode. The tomb itself is a typical royal tomb, with many hieroglyphics, images of gods and goddesses, a colorful ceiling, and of course his sarcophagus. More than most other tombs here, the brilliant colors of this tomb are well-preserved. To date, about 64 tombs have been discovered here in the Valley of the Kings.

Ramses IV was a Pharaoh in the 20th Dynasty of ancient Egypt. Although his father had been murdered by conspirators trying to take over the throne for the son of a minor queen, Ramses IV succeeded in keeping the crown. He was probably around forty years of age when he became Pharaoh. One major document from his reign (the Harris Papyrus) mentions his ascension and some of his achievements as king but largely focuses on the reign of Ramses III. However, he left most of his projects uncompleted.

Today we talk about Jesus' invitation, "Come follow me" from a Hebraic perspective. This is Episode #54 of our "Light in the Land" podcast.

Every rabbi called his set of "talmidim" (disciples) in a specific way. Most every potential disciple would have stepped through the religious "educational system" of "Beit Sefer" at the age 6-10 (House of the Book), "Beit Talmid" at the age of 10-13 (House of the Learner), and "Beit Midrash" at the age of 13 & up (House of Interpretation). When a student would enter this last stage, the rabbi would extend an invitation to them (especially those who showed promise and potential) with a specific phrase in Hebrew, "L**h Acharai."

According to the Gospels, Jesus called His 12 initial disciples, using this same phrase every other rabbi would have used to call their disciples - "L**h Acharai." It means not just "follow me," but essentially "imitate" me, be like me. It was a powerful and pointed invitation.

Wow what a great last day of our 11 Day Israel trip, with a 4 day extension to Greece! Today was a ferry ride to three Greek islands! Incredible sunset too!
