Join us this Saturday, October 17th to celebrate International Repair Day at the Sturgeon Bay Repair Cafe!

We have a fantastic team of volunteers who will be facilitating a variety of repair stations such as welding, small electronics, jewelry, sewing (hand & machine), tech support, furniture and knife sharpening.

Today is third Saturday of the month, so that means it is the September Sturgeon Bay Repair Cafe! It is from noon to 4:00 pm at 141 S. 12th Ave. (Hope Church). Our Repair Cafes are always free and open to the public! We have many volunteers who can help you fix a whole variety of things, including, but not limited to furniture, jewelry, small electrical appliances, clothing, and other things made a fabric, dull knives & scissors can be sharpened, and we even have a tech person who can help you with technology!

We have a new volunteer at the Sturgeon Bay Repair Cafe!

Introducing Becky White! Becky will be your go-to person for basic tech help at the Sturgeon Bay Repair Cafe! The Tech Deck is a place where people can bring in their smartphones or laptops to get help with installing apps or changing settings, accessing resources, or any other basic things that may be out of reach for those who are not tech-savvy. Becky grew up going to Hope Church and currently lives in Fish Creek. She works as a librarian and therefore has a lot of experience helping people navigate technology. We are so happy you have joined our crew of fantastic volunteers!

The next repair cafe is tomorrow - September 19th from noon to 4:00 pm at 141 S 12th Ave (Hope Church). We have volunteer repair coaches available to help you repair:

🪑 Furniture - chairs, tables, etc

⚡️ Small electrical appliances

👕 Clothing or anything made of fabric

💍 Jewelry

🦵 Body repair - consult with a professional about posture, gait, etc!

🔪 Knives that need sharpening

💻 Tech Deck for your questions about technology

All Sturgeon Bay Repair Cafe events are free and open to the public. We encourage those who can to bring a non-perishable food item🥫that will be donated to a local food pantry.

The next Sturgeon Bay Repair Cafe is this coming Saturday, September 19th. It is from noon to 4:00 pm and located at 141 S. 12th Ave (Hope Church) in Sturgeon Bay. We are free, open to the public, and all are welcome! We will have volunteer repair coaches on hand to help you fix furniture, jewelry, clothing, and small appliances. Note that our welder will not be in attendance this month but will be back. This month, Eric, our "body repair" volunteer, will be available for consultation!

Let us know if you have an item you would like to bring in and wonder if there might be someone available to help fix your beloved but broken belonging.

As always, if you are able, we ask that people bring a nonperishable food item that will be donated to a local food pantry.

Repair cafes are a win, win, win: you get your item fixed for free, less gets put into the landfill, and we all have fun learning from each other! If you have never been to a repair cafe, come check it out!
