Valley Associates for Independent Living (VAIL) is a private 501c3 non-profit agency serving people with disabilities in the Shenandoah Valley since 1989. VAIL’s mission is to promote self-direction among people with disabilities and remove barriers to their independence. VAIL striv

es to address the needs of people with disabilities in our community through cooperative efforts with other organizations and our local businesses. We provide advocacy, information and referral, independent living skills training, benefits planning, technical assistance, transition planning for youth, and peer mentoring.

Thanks to the generosity of our community—and some amazing last-minute donations—we exceeded our goal for the 12th Annual VAIL Arctic Dip!

Thank you to everyone who donated, dipped, volunteered, sponsored, or cheered us on. Thank you Sun Retreats Shenandoah Valley for hostingbys again! Everyone’s support helps make a real difference for our neighbors and friends with disabilities.

What an incredible day at the 12th Annual Arctic Dip! The team from the Augusta County Sheriff's Office - Sheriff Donald L. Smith proudly took the plunge, and yes, it was COLD! 🥶🙌

Thanks to the amazing support from our community, we were able to raise funds for a great cause while having a little frosty fun along the way. We are so grateful to everyone who donated, cheered us on, and helped make this event a success.
