👻🚑 BOO CREW ON DUTY! 🚑👻

Things got a little spooky around Stuarts Draft Rescue Squad! Our crew seems to have disappeared and been replaced by a few ghosts. 👻😂 Don’t worry though—they’re still ready to answer the call… assuming they can see through those sheets. And apparently even Stuart, the squad cat, wanted in on the night shift. 🐈‍⬛🚑

As Halloween approaches, Stuarts Draft Rescue Squad wants everyone in our community to have a fun—and SAFE—Halloween! 🎃

Keep an extra eye out for trick-or-treaters, slow down in neighborhoods, use flashlights or reflective gear when walking after dark, and make sure little ghosts and goblins have an adult nearby. Drivers, please put the phones down and stay alert—costumes can make children harder to see at night.

Most importantly, enjoy the candy, the costumes, the laughs, and time with your neighbors. ❤️

Stay spooky. Stay visible. Stay safe. And remember… if you see an ambulance being driven by two ghosts, maybe just give us a little extra room. 😂👻

Our members training on respiratory emergencies last night thanks to Josh Wimer! Fun fact - Josh is an EMT instructor and holds EMT classes right here at SDRS! How fortunate are we to have him around. Thank you Josh.

JD Brothers Tree Service 🌳 in Stuarts Draft = CPR certified! ✅ Way to go guys!

We have a passion for teaching our community members, churches, and local businesses CPR.

Cardiac arrest does not discriminate. It can happen to anyone, anywhere. And it’s likely to occur when you’re home with a loved one. And YOU can double or triple your family or friend’s chance of survival with a good quality of life if you perform CPR immediately while we are on the way. So that begs the question…

Community Fun Day 2026! Hot dogs, fire trucks, Sparky, Spiderman, CPR lessons, face painting, craft show, popcorn! We can’t wait for next year. Thank you everyone for your support of your local volunteer rescue squad!

Our SDRS volunteers were out recruiting at last night’s Stuarts Draft High School Career Fair. We love being a part of anything that involves our school age community members. Joining the rescue squad at 16 or 17 years old as a junior member is the best time to join! This is the time in life that you have the most time on your hands with the least amount of heavy “life responsibilities.” You can comfortably complete an EMT class and be released on your own at 18!

Are you a high schooler that is interested in nursing, medical school, radiology, physical therapy, physician assistant, or any healthcare career for that matter? Join the rescue squad! It is the best experience you can get prior to entering full blown adulthood and college.

Are you a parent or guardian of a high schooler who is interested in healthcare or public service? Nudge them! Get them down here!

We will also have a recruitment table set up at our Community Fun Day this SATURDAY 9/19 from 10am-2pm at the squad. Come on down - load up a hot dog 🌭 at our hot dog bar and come by the tent and talk to us about membership!

Today, we remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honor the first responders, public safety professionals, service members, and everyday citizens who showed extraordinary courage in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

We will never forget the firefighters, EMS providers, law enforcement officers, dispatchers, healthcare workers, and countless others who answered the call that day and in the days that followed.

May we also remember the unity, compassion, and strength our country showed in the aftermath.

From all of us at Stuarts Draft Rescue Squad, we honor their sacrifice, remember their service, and keep their families in our thoughts.

Ambulance 62 has officially been placed into service.

We are pleased to announce that Stuarts Draft Rescue Squad’s new Ambulance 62 has officially been placed into service and is prepared to respond within our community and surrounding areas.

The addition of this ambulance signifies more than the acquisition of new equipment. It reflects the ongoing support, trust, and generosity of the community we are privileged to serve. This support enables us to invest in modern ambulances, advanced medical equipment, and technology, ensuring our providers deliver the safest and highest quality care possible.

We do not take the ability to purchase and replace essential equipment for granted. Every contribution, fundraiser, donation, and demonstration of support helps us remain prepared to serve our community in times of greatest need.

We extend our sincere gratitude to our community, our members, and all who continue to support Stuarts Draft Rescue Squad, Inc. Your ongoing support makes a significant difference, and we are proud to place Ambulance 62 into service for you.

Stork alert! 👶🏻

Great work by these fine ladies who delivered a baby yesterday in the field!

Some days we come in on shift and take care of folks having the worst day of their lives. But fortunately we have the opportunity to take of some on one of the most memorable days of their lives.

Kudos to Taylor and Gabi! We love our career staff!

Yesterday, our crew had the honor of assisting with the birth of a new community member!

We are incredibly proud of our crew for their professionalism, dedication, and compassion during this beautiful moment.

Congratulations to the entire family and welcome to the world, little one!
