📍 Barrett Township Community Update

Here’s a quick recap from the most recent Barrett Township Supervisors meeting:

✅ Routine township business was approved (minutes, bills, payroll, permits, and public safety reports).
🚨 A special meeting is scheduled for Thursday, December 18 at 6:30 PM where the township plans to adopt both the Data Center Ordinance and the 2026 Budget.
🏕️ Boy Scouts Troop 89 raised concerns about their proposed lease at BART, including third-party access, liability, notice requirements, and long-term stability. The township asked for written revisions and indicated the issue will be revisited.
🏢 Monroe County Economic Development shared free small-business counseling and loan resources available to local businesses.
⚖️ Public comment also included concerns related to the township’s recent Hive to Harvest litigation; the board did not debate during public comment and later moved into executive session for litigation.
