I was reminded at church this morning that in the book of Genesis 1:27 God created mankind in His image. We at Hoof & Harness value each and everyone here, regardless of their special circumstances or their disabilities. We want the community we serve to be loved and cherished for who they are created to be; not how culture tries to identify these precious people. I grieve with those who have been hurt immensely by the social media outburst over the influencers comment on children with a Down syndrome diagnosis. I want you to know you and all are loved by a group of people here at Hoof & Harness, you are precious to each and every one of us!

Trot Therapy-our trauma informed care provided at Hoof & Harness! We are grateful to provide needed training to the staff of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Dumplin Valley and look forward to all the clubs attending in June!

We welcomed the staff leadership of the Boys & Girls Club today amidst the downpours! We spent time with our TROT Therapy counselor on staff as she discussed deescalation, emotion regulation and concerns for their students. Mindfulness activities with the horses also were shared! We look forward to seeing all the students on Fridays in June!

Thankful for over 1/2 inch of rain today to help our drought conditions and help our pastures!

A garden is a peaceful place to work on sensory integration! We harvested radishes, onions and mint! Our mint flavored water was a hit tonight! Thank you to the most special volunteer team!

Busy week and lots of milestones! Practicing correct seat positions; working on letter retention activities, Graduates!, new vols, Birthdays and Waldo went to church!

Never imagined the blessings we would receive in being a Community Partner with Carson Newman University! These girls have given hours upon hours here and we are ever so grateful for WHO you are and WHO you serve!May the Lord richly bless you in the next chapter; Go Do Great Things for God! We love you!
