🐾 Little Pup-date! 🐾

Our lab cross puppies are growing fast! ❤️

3 of the pups moved into the Merrimack County Department of Corrections just a few weeks ago to begin their training, while their sister remained at Hero Pups headquarters. Exposing our future service dogs to a variety of environments, sounds, sights, smells, and daily routines helps build the confidence and resilience they will need for their important careers.

None of this would be possible without our incredible volunteer team, dedicated inmate handlers, the staff and supportive community. Your time, encouragement, and generosity make every training milestone possible! 🐕‍🦺💙

The site work for our Healing Barn is officially complete—and we’ve loved watching the progress unfold—the pups haven’t slowed down one bit! 🐾🏡

Somerville has kept Fluff busy with many training opportunities, From festivals and school visits to ribbon cuttings and community events, he’s been out meeting people and spreading smiles wherever he goes.

🐾 Please Help Us Welcome the Newest Hero Pups! 🐾

We are excited to introduce our newest arrivals—3 handsome boys and 1 beautiful girl who have officially joined the Hero Pups program at just 8 weeks old. ❤️

These little ones are beginning their journey toward making a difference in the lives of veterans and first responders.

A huge thank you to the amazing team from Lighthouse Credit Union for jumping right in to help with this special project and assisting with the puppies’ very first photo shoot! 📸 And we managed to get several other projects done too!

Their enthusiasm, support, and willingness to volunteer helped make these pups’ introduction extra special.

It truly takes a village to raise future heroes, and we’re grateful to have such wonderful community partners by our side.

What started as a dream to expand the ways we support our community as a whole is now becoming a reality. This special space will create new opportunities for healing, connection, growth, and hope alongside the life-changing work already happening through our service dog programs.

The Healing Barn represents more than a building… It represents people that believe in helping others heal and finding new ways to offer animal assisted therapies.

We’d like to introduce you to Hero Pup Jasper! 👏🐕‍🦺

This adorable triangle-eared pup got his name from our friends at Owens Corning, and we think they picked a pretty great one!

But they didn’t stop there. Owens Corning has generously stepped up to sponsor all of Jasper’s expenses as he begins his journey toward becoming a service dog for a hero❤️

To show our gratitude, we brought Jasper to visit employees across all shifts during their company picnic so everyone could meet the little pup whose future they are helping make possible. Watching the excitement, smiles, and connection between Jasper and the team was truly special.
