Oh the weather outside is FRIGHTFUL

Since there's no safe place outside to go
We are closed, we are closed

Yep I know that didn't rhyme, but that is the mood I am in right now.

For the health and safety of our vendors, our spenders, and our staff we are closing the market tonight on 7/17.

We will be back in full action on 7/24. We have our Move In Day Event, we are working with Redbear Bikes on a Pump Track and other Bike Fun, Junior Class Fundraiser will be collecting returnable bottles and cans, we will have Kitley's Smoke Shack LLC and several other plans are in the works!

As we celebrate Christmas in July, we are approaching the midpoint of the month, having secured nearly half of our matching donor funds. Our matching donors include Choice One Bank, Eaton Community Bank, and our Outreach Board members. We urge you to help us reach our goal of raising $20,000.00 to utilize our Matching support fully. By making a donation today, your giving will be doubled. You can support our efforts to provide essential support to alleviate hunger and poverty in our community by donating online or in person.

AN EXTREME HEAT WATCH IS IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH
THURSDAY EVENING...

* WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values exceeding
105.

* WHERE...All of southeast Michigan.

* WHEN...From Tuesday afternoon through Thursday evening.

* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
extreme heat and high humidity events.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Heat and humidity build into the region on
Monday with heat index values approaching or touching 100 degrees
for a short period. The hottest conditions are expected to be
Tuesday through at least Thursday. This multi-day stretch will see
high temperatures in the mid to upper 90s and possibly 100 degrees

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car
interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.

Monitor the latest forecasts and warnings for updates.

MARKET BUCKS ARE BACK!! YAY!! And we have more opportunity this season!

Our AMAZING sponsors 5 Healthy Towns Foundation and Tri-County Office on Aging have provided our community with the opportunity to receive market bucks to shop the Open Air Market of Stockbridge. A BIG thank you to them for supporting our community and our market.

New to Market Bucks, no fret, we are here to help a friend in need. The market bucks program is designed to help our local residents with food insecurities. We aim to serve as many residents as we can that qualify, and we encourage all to apply.

How to Apply:

This Friday 6/12 come to the market at the Stockbridge Township Square from 4-7 pm to pick up your application. Friday 6/26 is the first market you can pick up your bucks and begin spending them.
