Teen Center Director
Crossroads Community Church

Position: Part-Time Teen Center Director
Hours: 15 hours per week
Pay: $20 per hour
Reports to: Senior Pastor

Position Purpose
The Teen Center Director leads the Teen Center as a ministry of Crossroads Community Church, providing a safe and welcoming place for local teenagers while building relationships that connect students to caring adults, the gospel, Student Ministry, and discipleship. The Director leads primarily by recruiting, developing, and coordinating volunteers who carry out
the ministry.

Primary Responsibilities

Lead the Teen Center
● Oversee the Teen Center's regular operation, initially Tuesday–Thursday, and cultivate a Christ-centered ministry environment consistent with Crossroads' beliefs and mission.
● Maintain a safe, welcoming, organized, and engaging environment for students.
● Build relationships with students and their families.
● Coordinate the basic supplies, activities, facility needs, and communication necessary for the ministry.

Lead Volunteers
● Recruit, schedule, train, and encourage Teen Center volunteers.
● Ensure volunteers complete required screening and follow church safety policies.
● Develop volunteers who can take ownership of specific areas of the ministry.

Build Connections
● Develop relationships with schools, businesses, community organizations, and other community partners.
● Work with Crossroads Student Ministry to help Teen Center students develop deeper
relationships and opportunities for discipleship.
● Communicate regularly with the church and community about Teen Center activities and needs.

Develop Sustainable Support
● Help cultivate individuals, businesses, organizations, and community partners who will
financially support the Teen Center.
● Assist with fundraising and appropriate grant opportunities.
● Work with church leadership to strengthen the long-term financial and volunteer
sustainability of the ministry.

Qualifications
The Teen Center Director should:
● Love and relate well to teenagers.
● Be dependable, organized, and able to take initiative.
● Be able to recruit, lead, and delegate to volunteers.
● Communicate effectively with students, parents, volunteers, and community partners.
● Exercise good judgment and maintain appropriate boundaries when working with minors.
● Be a professing Christian who affirms and supports Crossroads Community Church's Statement of Faith and will carry out the position consistently with the church's beliefs, mission, and ministry.
Experience working with teenagers, volunteers, churches, schools, nonprofits, or community organizations is preferred.

The Teen Center serves that mission by building relationships with teenagers in our community and creating pathways toward Christian relationships, Student Ministry, and discipleship.

As we prepare for the **2026–2027 school year**, we’re excited to take the next step—and we need your help!

We are looking for a **part-time Teen Center Director, approximately 10–15 paid hours per week**, to help lead the Teen Center into its next season.

The Director will help lead volunteers, build relationships with students and families, coordinate schedules and supplies, connect with the community, develop partnerships, and help strengthen the volunteer and financial support needed for the Teen Center to thrive.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Loves teenagers and enjoys building relationships
• Can lead, organize, and encourage volunteers
• Is dependable, relational, and willing to take ownership
• Enjoys connecting with people throughout the community
• Can build partnerships with businesses, organizations, churches, and families
• Wants to help invest in the future of our community’s teenagers

The Teen Center has always been a community effort. Volunteers, families, local businesses, churches, donors, and neighbors have helped make it a place where teenagers can belong, build relationships, and know that adults in their community care about them.

Yesterday’s rain had us temporarily closed thanks to some surprise indoor flooding 🌧️💦
The floors are cleaned up(ish) 😂 and we’re ready to welcome the kids back today! 🙌

Teen center is closing due to flooding. If you have a 6th grade student they will not be getting dropped of at teen center.
If you have a 7th-12th grade student please park in the front and text and we will send out your student through the front door. If you are able to pick up early that would be great.

If your student is finishing up 5th grade this year, we’ll be opening up the Teen Center to them on Tuesday, May 19th from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm so they can come experience it for themselves!
All students will need to be registered to attend. Registration links have been sent out by the 5th grade teachers, so be sure to get it filled out.
