Learning, connecting, and bringing new ideas home!

Texan Therapeutic Riding’s Director, Summer Intern, and Instructor-in-Training recently attended the PATH Intl. Region 8 Conference, organized and hosted by the Lone Star Therapeutic Equestrian Network, LSTEN
and ROCK Ride On Center for Kids!

The weekend was filled with education, networking, and opportunities to learn from others in the therapeutic horsemanship community. Our team returned with plenty of new ideas and knowledge that we’re excited to put into practice at TTR! 🐴✨

Meet Creepy (short for Creepy Crawler)! An 18-year-old sorrel gelding who joined the Texan Therapeutic Riding herd during the middle of the spring semester. 💜
He, alongside his other new herd mates, has quickly found his place in lessons. His calm presence and willingness to work have quickly made him a favorite among volunteers and participants.

Meet Vern! A 25-year-old bay gelding who also joined the Texan Therapeutic Riding herd at the beginning of 2026. 💜
He has quickly found a place helping participants refine their cues and become more aware of what emotions they bring into the arena. Among our volunteers, he is known for his desire to please and sensitivity to cues.
