“Dr. Cederstrom,
It is with great regret that I write this email, but something I’ve come to terms with.
My current professional schedule has not allowed me to put SISD as a priority and that doesn’t do my position as a board member justice. SISD deserves someone that can put 100% of their time and effort into the district and some of my new clients just don’t allow me to be that individual.
I wish the board, SISD, the students, and all the staff nothing but positive endeavors for the future. It saddens me to the core to step away, but I am submitting this message as my resignation for position 4 on the SISD school board.”

*The above mentioned is one of the hardest things I’ve had to do. I can not express the amount of appreciation I have for those that have stood behind me and supported me. I thank you so much for the year that I served and appreciate every individual vote that was cast for me. I look forward to supporting the Bees and Jackets in every way possible and wish nothing but the best for our community!

Unfortunately I wasn’t able to make the board meeting this month. Broken water lines and wild pigs just wouldn’t allow it lol. This morning I’ve stopped by admin and was greeted with an appreciation box! I can’t begin to describe how thoughtful it was for the district and campuses to put this together and the icing on the cake were the letters of support from the students! Thank you all so much for the gifts and kind words. I will tell you that being a board member isn’t always the easiest position to hold, but days like today make it all worth it! I hope Stephenville ISD has a great rest of the week and an outstanding remainder of the year! Go jackets!! Go bees!!

Thank an Ag teacher today!

Ag teachers are a special breed. They mentor, inspire and tell a corny joke or two. They bleed blue and gold. And leave an impact on students all year long.

And they’re stationed by the owl. Because the owl is the time-honored emblem of knowledge and wisdom. Ag teachers are asked to advise FFA members and students as the need arises. And they base that advice in their years and experience.
