Last weekend, Widdy’s Work spent many hours at different baseball fields sharing Reese’s message. I’m not going to lie, it’s hard. Even though it is mentally and physically exhausting, if we help one person, it is all worth it.

On one of the days of the tournament, a dad approached Corey and said that Reese’s message and what we do saved his son who was struggling. Because of that player who keeps going, we will keep going with our mission. We receive messages periodically that Reese’s words have helped people and saved them. This is our why. Reese left behind such powerful words - “Do what I couldn’t do; Get help.” He also asked us to help other people who are struggling. We are doing our best! People tell us all the time that Reese is proud of us. I do believe it.

It’s hard to know why things happen the way they do. Reese had such a reach for lives that he has touched. So many people know and love him. His message has saved more people than we could ever know.

What we do know:
It’s never ok to suffer in silence
This feeling won’t last forever
Tomorrow is a new day
You are loved
You are important
You matter

Call or text 9-8-8 if you’re struggling

Today is the day!! Register today to guarantee you get a race shirt!! Thank you!!

Today is the day!! Register today to guarantee you get a race shirt!! Thank you!!

Widdy’s Work presents Stomp out the Stigma is only three weeks away! Get registered by Tuesday, July 21st to guarantee a race shirt.

This year’s shirt design is a croc that is destroying the stigma that surrounds mental health. When Reese wasn’t in a baseball cleat, you would find him wearing his white crocs! You’ll also see the silhouettes of two runners escaping the rubble. This would be the actual silhouettes of Reese and his history teacher, Mr. Bartlett, from a race that they competed in on the football field as a friendly competition!!

Get those registrations in and let’s STOMP OUT THE STIGMA together!!!

That’s a wrap for the Fourth Annual Reese Widman Memorial Baseball Tournament! Widdy’s Work was able to connect with so many players and families in efforts to break down the stigma surrounding mental health and su***de. We appreciate all the support from our baseball community! Everyone shows such love and support! It was great to see a sea of red shirts that read “Go be great” on the back.

Thank you to Top Tier Sports for hosting such a huge tournament in honor of Reese. You all helped our reach of getting Reese’s powerful message out to so many athletes, families, and coaches. We are grateful more than you know.

Thank you to the Ram Restaurant and Brewery for donating a free burger coupon for people that made a donation to get a tournament shirt. The Ram has continued to show support to Widdy’s Work. We appreciate all of their help in breaking down the stigma surrounding mental health.

Shoutout to teams that really embraced the spirit of Reese! We saw players with custom “Widdy” swag, mental health awareness uniforms, and heard of coaches sharing Reese’s message with their team. Thank you so much. That’s why we are here - to honor and remember Reese Widman and to share his message of “Do what I couldn’t do; Get help.” Thank you!

Huge thanks to our people that stopped by to see us! We didn’t get photos with everyone, but just know you mean so much to us!!

Thank you to everyone involved!! We couldn’t do this without YOU!! Until next year when we STRIKE OUT THE STIGMA!!!

All our love to our baseball family ⚾️

(We have shirts left! Hit us up if you’re interested!)
