Special Treasures is not just a store, but a workforce development program for youth in foster care in Iredell County. 100% of our proceeds go back into the program. We accept all new and gently used items (no clothing) as tax-deductible donations and sell them at reasonable prices. We are proud to offer quality items, name brands, and a lovely ambiance. Youth in our program learn a wide array of
competencies to prepare them for higher education and/or the workforce. These include marketing, budgeting, fundraising, supervising, software operating (Office & Quickbooks), shipping & receiving, and design. Additionally, they learn soft skills such as relationship building with the public and colleagues, self-esteem, communication, independence, and general professionalism. We welcome merchandise, monetary donations, volunteers, and customers. We love to raise awareness and expand our outreach by connecting with groups or organizations about Children's Homes of Iredell County and Special Treasures.
