Tomorrow evening we are hosting a small one night show featuring works by Starkville High School students Arya Groves and Rowan Seltzer-Hill at the Del Rendon Foundation space at 100 GT Thames Suite C1 from 5:30-7 pm on Friday, July 18. Open to the public. Here is a short bio of each of the artists:

Arya -
Starkville native, senior at SHS, First Chair Tuba player in the SHS Marching Band and Wind Ensemble. Arya is a computer engineer in her spare time, designing websites for her clients. She started her love of art with charcoal drawings when she was 11, she has since explored color theory, which she has grown to love. Her accompaniment poems have developed as a way to express really deep emotions in ways art is unable.

Rowan -
Rowan is from Starkville, has been part of the through their eyes project, archery team member, and future drone pilot. He has had interest in photography since he was 5 years old. As a neurodivergent child, photography was a tool to express his creative interests in patterns and textures and how he saw the world. As a high school student, Rowan’s love of photography has grown with his love of historic weapons, history, and nature.
