🍀 How it started vs. how it's going

Ella Dinkins joined Bradford County 4-H as a Cloverbud at just five years old. Throughout her 4-H years, she took on leadership roles at the club, county, and state levels, eventually serving as a Florida 4-H State Officer! Today, Ella is a Family and Consumer Sciences Extension Agent in Clay County, where she puts those skills to use every day. While much of her work involves adults, she especially enjoys working with 4-H youth and helping provide the same opportunities that meant so much to her growing up.

Clay Whitehead grew up on his family's cattle farm and became involved in Bradford County 4-H through showing cattle and livestock judging. As a member of our state-winning livestock judging team, Clay developed skills that carried him to the University of Florida, where he continued judging at the collegiate level and earned his degree in Animal Sciences. Today, he works for UF's Department of Animal Sciences and continues his family's agricultural roots through Whitehead Family Cattle.

While their experiences and career paths are different, both are great examples of how the skills learned through 4-H made them for work and life!

This morning, Bradford County 4-H joined the Bradford County Board of County Commissioners as they adopted a proclamation recognizing October 4–10 as National 4-H Week! 🍀💚

Thank you to our BOCC and the Bradford County community for your continued support of 4-H and the opportunities you help make possible for our members.
