Why Lupus Must Be Eradicated

Lupus has been a recognized disease for over a century, yet there is still no cure. The disease continues to claim lives, destroy organs, and devastate families. The time for incremental progress is over we need a unified approach to eradicating this disease.

With advances in immunology, gene therapy, and targeted biologics, we are closer than ever to understanding the root mechanisms of autoimmune disease. What's needed now is the collective will, funding, and coordination to make a cure a reality.

American science and leadership should be driving the global eradication of preventable and chronic disease not profiting from endless treatment cycles.

The answer is eradication and we will accept nothing less.

Thanks to the work of the Gina P. Wingell Foundation, Inc., New Jersey has formally recognized May 10th as World Lupus Day and May as Lupus Awareness Month for the year of 2026.

We’re currently working with the Governor’s office on a special request connected to this proclamation.

Governor Mikie Sherrill, we look forward to receiving the additional document and appreciate your continued support for lupus warriors across our state.

The fight continues.

Right now, we are fundraising for three qualified women whose needs have been patiently waiting for their turn. The funds raised from this concert will help us reach our goals for Tonya, Katlyn, and Kendra, each of whom has been standing by with hope and determination. 💜

If you’re unable to attend, please consider an alternative contribution whether by sharing the event, sponsoring a disabled lupus warriors ticket, or supporting the National Lupus Disability Relief Fund.
