Each year, BARKS places ~200 cats and kittens in homes, as well as providing another ~150 with low cost spay/neuter or TNR. We find homes for approximately 50 dogs and puppies each year, and assist with spay/neuter services for several others. In order to continue our rescue efforts we need the support of people like you.

Update:

Matilda had a brief layover at St Hubert’s where she demonstrated her lap dog prowess, then moved to the BARKS Shelter. She is very sweet, 31 pounds and about 20” tall.
Meet Matilda she is arriving today!! Her foster home in Aiken had the following to say about her:

“Matilda had a couple accidents and a little wild on the leash, but we love her. Matilda (Milli Vanilli) is having a great week and is the perfect lap dog wanna-be. She knows how to sit and stay, she loved our dogs and was fine with the cats. Our son loved her and let her play video games with him.”

This 31 pound, 1 1/2 year old spayed girl is looking for a home. If interested please fill out an application at www.barksinc.com under dog adoptions.
