Our 6/18/26 meeting featured Boy Scout, Steve Senese from Succasunna currently attending Roxbury High School. He just received word that his Eagle Scout project has been approved which will result in the beautification project of a little spot at Shore Hills CC that looks out at Lake Hopatcong. Steve, an avid illustrator (takes after his mom Kim who is a self published children’s author) aspires to be a musician to utilize his choir and musical theater talents. We also inducted Steve Senese into the Roxbury Rotary. Steve will be the interim Roxbury Township Manager while continuing his role as the Head of the DPW. Steve brings some great enthusiasm to our club and we are happy to have him.

This week at our Rotary meeting, we had the actual Rotary Govenor, Bob Law there to talk about our really cool program we have in Rotary called the short term youth exchange.

Dropped off some Operation Birthday Cake Kits to Roxbury Social Services. This kit has everything you need to make a birthday cake and even includes a birthday card to make a kid smile. Rotary members got creative with birthday themed napkins, balloons and some fun frosting flavors to add to the kits… cause what’s better than a birthday cake on your birthday?

The Roxbury Woman's Club is holding a community-wide drive for cleaning supplies to benefit Family Promise Morris County NJ.

Complete details are on the flyer. The collection is being held at the Roxbury Township Public Library. It starts on March 15 and runs through April 15. Donations can also be ordered through our Amazon link - https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/MQU497I3247K?ref_=wl_share

Family Promise provides shelter, housing and outreach to families and individulas facing homelessness and housing insecurity in Morris County.

The Roxbury Woman's Club meets on the fourth Tuesday of the month, September through May, at 7 p.m. at the Senior Center, Horseshoe Lake Complex. Prospective members are welcome.

Had the chance to visit one of Junior Junior Rotary Clubs last week,one of our Early Act Clubs at Jefferson school. The advisors are doing a great job teaching these students about leadership, kindness and helping others. To the parents of these incredible students, you have raised rock stars!!!

Wow, what an incredible Rotary meeting we had yesterday. We heard from the Elks and their Exhaulted Ruler Walt Wuster about some of their upcoming events, members of Roxbury High Schools Thon Club and their upcoming dance marathon to raise funds for pediatric cancer and members of three time state champs Marching Gaels to hear about their great year.

We are honored to be able to support of those great groups that help make Roxbury great.

If you would like to be involved in our community in a very giving way please consider jointing us at one of our upcoming meetings every Thursday at Polos in Netcong from 12:15 to 1:30.
