Today my wonderful members from our Roxbury Rotary Club and our amazing HS Intersct club met today at HSL and hosted an absolutely incredible co****le tournament, our seventh one.
We had over 70 teams register, we raised about $48,000 and we had people from all over the community at this event. We had people selling raffle tickets for a dance studio, we were selling an apron scratch off thing for a family in town who going through a really rough stretch and raised $1000 for them, we raised money for Justin Everett, who recovering from a heart transplant and actually threw out a ceremonial first bag. We handed out $1609 in price Money and gift cards from Pib 199 and cruise certificate from the great Shelby Rhodes. We heard once again an incredible rendition of the national anthem by a very own Josie Miller. And most importantly, we had an event where the entire community came together. We got to see each other hang out with each other. Meet each other and just learn about each other and just raise a lot of money for so many great causes so thank you for anyone who registered and played, or was a Sponsor. We cannot do any of this without any of you make sure all your continued support and that you to Brian Piskado and John Miller for running our brackets today.
