Aquia Cub Scout Day Camp - Day 5. We pivoted to an indoor location to avoid the oppressive heat. Boy did our campers have fun today! They made fossil prints, exploding volcanoes, learned to tie some knots, and made a lanyard. We did some fun relay games outside, and when it got too hot, we played games inside. Improvising to human foosball in the hallway! After lunch we had water games and had fun getting soaked. We ended the day with skits that we performed for our parents!
Thank you to Stafford County Christian Church for the use of their facilities. Thank you to our volunteers who put on a stellar camp for our Scouts. Tell your friends about the fun you had and we’ll see you next time!

Aquia Cub Scout Day Camp - Day 4. Whew - it was a scorcher today! We adjusted the program to make use of more shelters to stay in the shade. Our campers did archery, painted their clay models from yesterday, and did a weather relay race in Scout Skills. In STEM we made archeology layers and in crafts we made dinosaurs. In games, we played card games in the shade. Finally our Scouts sharpened their putting skills and several hole in ones were recorded!

Aquia Day Camp - Dinotopia Day 3! We didn’t let some morning showers dampen the fun. We’re Scouts so we were prepared and adapted and overcame the much needed rain. Our campers made dinosaur eggs, made slime, prepared some clay leaf molds, did some leatherwork, fished, and practiced their sling shots. Our staff is doing a great job too! Can’t wait for tomorrow!
