Black Maternal Health Week (April 11–17), founded by the Black Mamas Matter Alliance, raises awareness about the crisis where Black women in the U.S. are three to four times more likely to die from pregnancy-related causes than white women. It acts as a critical platform to advance policy, promote birth justice, and address systemic racism and inequities in healthcare.

The focus of this week is to:
