Want to know what ACFA actually does? We provide hope to Mali’s vulnerable children through our holistic program centered on four essential needs: Shelter. Nutrition. Education. And Healthcare.

But in providing these basics to the kids in our care, together we’ve created so much more. From our classrooms to the vegetable garden outside, the dormitory to the community computer lab where kids and adults both learn modern skills to support their lives, at ACFA, we are a community. We exist to help our small corner of the world here in Zorokoro, Mali, to flourish in spite of many odds. And we only exist thanks to the generosity and care of everyday folks who are willing to support our mission.

So what are we learning at the Zorokoro Children’s Complex this week?!

Early elementary students: vowels and numbers ✅
Middle school students: math and civics ✅
Upperclassmen students: reading and language ✅

Learning these skills is essential to fostering creative, sharp minds and preparing for future job opportunities for the children in our care, formerly children in dire need without access to education. Every day at ACFA, the children grow and learn new things to help prepare them for their bright futures.

Hello again! We'd like to re-introduce ourselves for anyone new here! Every child deserves to feel safe, right? Well, that's where we start.

We are A Child For All, a small but powerful U.S. non-profit providing holistic care to children in Mali who formerly lived on the streets. We do this by creating a safe and nurturing environment where the children receive shelter, education, nourishment, and health care. At ACFA, what motivates us is seeing the kids smile, learn, play, and grow, knowing that a bright future for our world depends on the chance for every single child to thrive.

Here we like to share stories of what happens at our Zorokoro Children’s Complex in Mali where the children live, attend school, help to grow a vegetable garden, play outside, and experience what it feels like to have a more secure childhood.

🌱 Happy Earth Day from our community to yours! At ACFA, every day is a chance to learn, grow, and celebrate the earth. We're proud to share how our children are growing — literally.

Our Zorokoro Children’s Complex is powered by the sun ☀️ thanks to solar panels that reduce our carbon footprint and ensure the consistent energy required to care for the children. But the real magic? Watching our young community members get their hands in the soil.

In our garden, the children aren't just planting seeds — they're learning where food comes from, how to cultivate the land, and how every small act of stewardship counts. From sprouts to harvest, the kids at ACFA are growing up learning to help the world around them grow as well!

🤝 When Gina — a former French teacher and mentor from Florida — went looking for a way to give back, she found ACFA. What began as a virtual mentorship has grown into a genuine cross-continental friendship with Awa, a remarkable young woman in Mali who thrived at ACFA after coming to us at age 5.

Despite the miles, the time difference, and occasional internet outages, they connected regularly — talking about life, dreams, and what it means to be a young woman in today's world.
Awa shared dreams of becoming a journalist and advocating for children in difficult situations around the world. Gina encouraged her to go for it — one conversation at a time.

This is what volunteering looks like at ACFA: not just a task completed, but a life touched. 💛

🎒 New backpacks. New books. New possibilities.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our partner B2Gold, every child at the Zorokoro Children’s Complex has a backpack and the school supplies they need to learn and thrive — notebooks, math kits, calendars, and more.

But our partnership with B2Gold goes even deeper. The Canadian company funded the construction of our community library and computer lab — inaugurated in 2024 — which has already opened its doors to children and adults from the most vulnerable communities in Mali. 📚💻

Their support also extends to our nutrition program, helping ensure our children are nourished as well as educated. 🥗

Today is the International Day for Street Children - a day which reminds us of why A Child for All was founded – to help the vulnerable children of Mali who are forced to live in the street and are exposed to hunger, violence, and abuse. ACFA has worked for 16 years to provide a home, an education, and a future to as many of these children as possible. Ousmane and Coumba are just two of the ACFA children who are now thriving and happy.

We had a beautiful celebration of Eid here at the Zorokoro Children’s Complex thanks to caring donors like you and thanks to a generous donation from B2Gold! The children enjoyed new outfits to honor the important holiday, and were so excited to share a hearty meal of beef, making it a very special occasion.

We’re dedicated to providing a stable and nourishing environment for the vulnerable children here at ACFA. Thank you for your support and for investing in the lives of the children in Mali.
