The 7th graders from Central Reform Congregation helped with Sunday Hot Lunch as part of their Bat/Bar Mitzvah classes. After lunch, Rabbi Randy and Food Manager Chuck Dombek talked with the students about the history of TFM and their experiences helping the 52 community members who came for lunch. Thank you CRC!

The good folks that are part of the Hunger Ministry at the Church of St. Michael and St. George made 200 casseroles and 600 snack bags with sandwiches this past year for the Trinity food pantry. This is how God is calling us in this season of need.

Good news about a parishioner from St. Peter's Episcopal Church-Ladue. In September, Walter Wilson (below) was given a school project to perform a service project and report about it to his class. He chose TFM as the recipient of his efforts and set a goal of collecting 25 bags of groceries from his neighbors. He distributed handwritten fliers to the neighborhood and then collected the resulting donations on a given date. This resulted in a staggering 100 bags containing over 600 pounds of items for our ministry.

This past Monday, with thankful hearts, we received the 100 bags from Walter and his mother. Thank you, Walter, for blessing us with your time and talent.

Joyce Driver (right), CHW-C, is a certified Community Health Worker & Community Referral Coordinator with the St. Louis Integrated Health Network. Joyce is now with us at pantry every other Tuesday, connecting patients to primary care, answering questions about SNAP, Medicaid and other programs, as well as actually enrolling/re-enrolling clients as needed. WELCOME JOYCE! We love being a partner of the St. Louis Integrated Health Network

Food sharing in times of drought. Our Lady of Perpetual Help Food Pantry, and Food Pantry Coalition member, offered a donation of soft bread, raspberries, instant coffee, orange juice, etc. A note of gratitude to Ken Patterson and his generosity.

Sharing the bounty. TFM is partnering with St. John's Episcopal-Tower Grove by providing surplus produce from our pantry sessions. Our initial donation of cucumbers was turned into Cucumber Salad, which was enjoyed by 76 attendees at the Saturday Peace Meal (as were the fresh apples). This past Saturday St. John's hosted 95 attendees with a similar offering. It is wonderful to know that we have an opportunity to share the bounty with other parishes in the Diocese.

Residents of the North Side of St. Louis City were left caring for each other after the 2025 EF3 tornado. Several community members of the Trinity Food Pantry are still displaced.

Twelve new families enrolled at the Trinity Food Pantry last week seeking food. In addition, volunteers served/handed out 147 meals last week. Monetary donations are always appreciated in addition to donated food items.

Food On The Move is a walk-through, shopping style food distribution program for individuals living in areas of Illinois and Missouri with limited access to healthy food and resources.

Why you matter. New guidelines for SNAP recipients begin Oct. 1. Under the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, more adults need to prove they work or volunteer for at least 80 hours a month to access food benefits. These work requirements now apply to veterans, homeless individuals, young adults aging out of foster care, parents with a child between 14 and 17, and people between 55 and 64.

According to an article at NPR.org, each state will soon have to pay millions in additional costs to keep the program going. Food policy experts warn that these new costs could drive states to scale back or withdraw from SNAP. If that happens, neither food banks nor existing government programs would have the capacity to fill the gap, according to the Children's Defense Fund.
