It's official – former Team USA and Seattle Torrent captain Hilary Knight is coming to Detroit, as the team confirmed a widely reported trade with PWHL Las Vegas this morning.

“Hilary Knight is one of the best and most accomplished players in women’s hockey history and is a significant addition to our roster ahead of our inaugural season, which makes this a very exciting day for PWHL Detroit,” PWHL Detroit GM Manon Rhéaume said.

Memorial Day is not just about another Monday off with the family. It is to honor those who protected us. Their final sacrifice for us was death. Let our thanks to them be peace. ☮️

Emily Halt #20 had to grow up faster than most individuals her age. Her late mother taught her to be brave, caring and independent. This is why she is who she is now.

Emily lives with her sister, brother-in-law and 14 month niece. She is the best aunt and helps around the house whenever needed. She spends her days helping with laundry, cooking or baking (skills that she learned at Rising Stars Academy which is a culinary school for special needs individuals) and crafting. Her current obsession is creating masterpieces with Diamond Dots.

Emily loves to visit her other sister, who lives in Mt. Pleasant. Together, they love to make their mom’s favorite recipes. She also travels to western Michigan to spend time with her grandma. These two have been known to get into trouble, but you can be sure that grandma is always spoiling her girl!

Besides ice hockey, she also plays basketball, poly hockey, bocce ball and bowling. Every August, she competes in a golf skills competition for Special Olympics.

Emily easily makes friends. She is always aware of their feelings and lifts them up when they are down. She is one of the few female athletes and we are lucky to have her. ❤️🏒🤍🥅🖤

Marshall Ng #13 has enough love in his heart to share with the entire world. His smile lights up the room. 🤗

Nicknames: Marshman, Marsh, Marshmallow, Tattoo Boy.

Age: 36

Turn Ons: Chinese food, country music, legos, sidewalk chalk, smoothies, the hallmark channel and naps.

Turn Offs: Tomatoes, spicy foods, ticks and rules!

Family: 1 brother, 1 sister-in-law, 2 step-sisters, 2 human nieces, 2 fur nephews, extended hockey family, Canadian family and the best aunts, uncles and cousins anyone could ask for!

Sports: Ice hockey, figure skating, soccer, poly (floor) hockey, basketball, bocce ball and bowling.

Hobbies: Touring and climbing lighthouses, flying a kite when at the beach, kayaking or canoeing and archery.

Fun facts about Marshall:
•He works three days per week at CEO (Creative Empowerment Opportunities) in Pontiac. Here, he sorts hangers, folds towels and helps with Meals On Wheels.
•He has 7 tattoos but has a very hard time getting a blood draw!
•When he is out in public, he will pick up trash or clean up after someone who has left a mess (he does not do this at home!)
•He has almost perfected his hand gesture of love (making a heart with his fingers) and can be seen flashing it when he is on the ice.)
•He has become a member of the TagaBrew Trail Family. He collects necklaces with charms from breweries. In order for a brewery to be “Marshall worthy” they must have root beer and food. He recently met up with the owners of TagaBrew Trail, had lunch with them and shared stories of the trail.
•He works out weekly with a personal trainer.
•Although he prefers hockey skates, Marshall can skate with figure skates. If he catches his toe picks and falls, he strikes a pose as if the fall was planned.
•His favorite person in the world is his uncle who he calls “Bob Saget”. He talks to him on the phone every day. ❤️
