🐶🐶 We are getting ready to welcome two 6 week old puppies (a boy and a girl) rescued from a hoarding/neglect situation in east Texas. They’ll transported to a longer term foster home in Killeen tomorrow and will be ready for adoption in around 4-5 weeks as we get them healthy and vetted.

🚨🚨 FROM MESQUITE AREA TO AUBREY🚨🚨

Good news is we have a temp foster in Texarkana for Mick Friday through Sunday, a ride out of Texarkana Sunday, and a long term foster in Aubrey TX.

But NOW we need someone who can meet his driver in the Mesquite area Sunday afternoon around 4p or so and transport Mick to his new foster in Aubrey.

UPDATE - FOSTER(S) FOUND!

🚨🚨MOUNT PLEASANT/ TEXARKANA/ MT. VERNON AREA PEEPS!🚨🚨

Anyone want a sweet as can be houseguest for Friday through Sunday of this week?

This beautiful but scared pup is at the Mount Pleasant shelter and we are trying desperately to assist him, but we need someone who can pick him up on Friday from Mt. Pleasant and hang on to him until Sunday, when we have volunteer who can get him on her route from Texarkana to Hutto and drive him to his foster in Austin.

2/3 OF THE WAY THERE!!!!

As of 830p this evening, we've raised 64% of our $10,000 goal!!!!! And there are only 🕗 3.5 HOURS LEFT to help us get the rest of the way!

Why? Because of dogs like Reese. Reese is a sweet and charming 7 YO, 36 lb purebred BC boy. He was surrendered to us due to some pretty significant family changes.

Reese is a standard ball-obsessed, slightly stranger-dangery, OCD BC boy. Unfortunately, we also discovered Reese also has spondylosis (bone spurs on his spine) and significant arthritis in both hips. His fabulous foster is taking care of him, managing his conditions w/ meds, supplements, and muscle building (since he also had a pretty bad case of muscle wasting when we got him).

BCSAVE makes sure dogs like Reese who need a little extra TLC get it from their fosters and the rescue. Funds raised go to cover medical expenses, supplements, special foods, training tools, and anything else a foster asks for to ensure that our pups get the best care around.

Your donation - whether $1, $10, $100 or more - goes directly to the care and well-being of our pups, regardless of their age or health. Our small (but mighty!) rescues partners with vets all over TX and beyond to provide top-notch care to all of our pups!

🐾 Nursed back to health, Cooper is learning to trust in a safe, professional environment 🐾

Meet Cooper, a 2 year old border collie that found emaciated due to his previous owner’s memory issues. His first foster home spent months nursing him back to health and poured a ton of love and patience into him. However, due to the trauma from his earlier life, Cooper was very fearful of the world around him and and developed reactivity to strangers coming into home. We knew that Cooper needed to be able to build confidence, get exposure to new things and build foundational cooping and obedience skills in a safe and professional environment. One of our trusted fosters and professional dog trainer Dynamic K9 Academy LLC stepped up to help!!

Cooper is LOVING training (if you can’t tell by his face 😂) and will be spending several months in a structured training and behavioral modification program tailored to helping him build confident, trust, and emotional regulation before he is eligible for adoption. We do not rush the process and want to set up every dog for success, no matter how long it takes! We know for certain when Cooper is ready, he will be bringing lots of love, devotion, and goofiness to his future forever family!!

🐾 From hiding to happily ever after. 💕

Meet Hollie ( #72), one of more than 100 dogs rescued from a North Texas hoarding situation. When she arrived, she was terrified of the world around her—shutting down and running away whenever someone tried to approach.

But Hollie had time. She had patience. And most importantly, she had love. 🥹

After 9 months in rescue with an incredibly patient foster family, Hollie slowly learned that she was safe. She built confidence, learned to trust, found comfort in a routine, and discovered the courage to explore a whole new world. 🌎🐶

And last month, all that hard work paid off—Hollie found her forever home! 🏡❤️

Hollie’s story is a beautiful reminder that rescue doesn’t always happen overnight. So many of the dogs we take in need months of rehabilitation, medical care, patience, and love before they’re ready to find their families.

They just need someone willing to give them the time they deserve. ❤️

NORTH TEXAS GIVING DAY - WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP!!

In 2024, Wh***ey, a 9mo old, 40lb purebred Border Collie boy, was surrendered to us because he was WAY too energetic for his family. Turns out Wh***ey (aka Wh***ey Tango Foxtrot aka WTF) had one singular purpose - to catch frisbees!

Wh***ey ended up having some light sensitivity and went to a foster family in VA, who also happen to run Green Dogs Unleashed, a non-profit organization focused on rescue, rehab, placement, and training of special needs (and other) animals, to work with special humans in need. They knew exactly how to manage his vision challenges, while still teaching him how to become an amazing disc and freestyle pup. And as it turns out, they made Wh***ey a part of their family permanently! Now his boy, Finn, is lighting up the fields and breaking records with Wh***ey (aka Norbert) and his other pups.

This rescue and adoption would never have happened without support from you. All of our funds go directly to the dogs - no one takes a salary at BCSAVE.
