Steven Eugene Huckabee Cumbie, 68 of Weatherford, TX laid down his working tools for the last time on May 29, 2024 to be embraced by his Lord and Savior.

Steven was born on October 17th, 1955 in Fort Worth, TX to Eugene and Louise Huckabee. He was the third oldest of nine siblings.

At an early age he started to learn the true meaning of love and carried that understanding with him the rest of his life. On October 10th, 1987 Steve married the love of his life, his best friend, Toni Lee Cumbie. He often said his greatest accomplishment is his family. He was the proud father of three children, Adam Cumbie, Brandon Cumbie and his daughter Rickianna Huckabee, but he touched the lives of so many others imparting his wisdom to all he met. He supported his family by honing his skills as a carpenter. While staying in the industry, he moved his attention to sales and retired from Pates Hardware & Lumber is 2020.

Steve was a man of faith and member of Silver Creek Methodist Church in Azle, TX. He was a proud member of Eureka Masonic Lodge #371 in Springtown and a member of Azle Masonic Lodge #601. He served his fraternity in many different capacities including being a Past Master and serving as District Deputy Grandmaster of the 89th Masonic district twice. He was an avid motorcycle rider and a member of the Free Masons Riding Club.

Steve is preceded in death by his parents Eugene and Shirley Huckabee and Dilbert and Mildred Louise Karr, sisters Rebecca Underwood and Debra Garcia, brother Kenneth Huckabee.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years Toni Cumbie, children Adam Cumbie and wife Amber, Brandon Cumbie and wife Brittany, daughter Rickianna Huckabee and husband Christian Calabaza, grandchildren Katie, Kallee, Kyndle, Shelby, Oliver and Tanner Cumbie and Ryeli and Kimber Ranes, great grandchildren Rylee Lawley and Cole O'Boyle, siblings Mike Karr, Karen Pendergrast, Teresa Huckabee, Carla Carrol and husband Paul Carrol, Jesika Taylor, sister-in-law Patricia Huckabee brother-in-laws Paul Underwood and Terry Aultman and countless nieces, nephews and many extended family and friends.

Steve was always passionate about giving back to his community. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make monetary donations in his honor to:

-The Snack Pack Program at Springtown Methodist Church (specify Snack Pack)

-The Springtown Masonic Lodge Scholarship Program
