Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts Enriching the quality of life in Hampden, Hampshire and Franklin Counties with grants to nonprofits and scholarships for students.

The Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts stewards charitable funds on behalf of its donors, and turns those contributions into grants ($16.7 million in Fiscal Year 2021!) to nonprofits serving the residents of Franklin, Hampden, and Hampshire counties. The Community Foundation is also the major source of educational scholarships in the region, awarding $1.6 million in scholarships and interest-free loads to 848 local students attending college in 2020-21.

Know a student who could benefit from an interest-free educational loan? CFWM's application opens October 1, 2026!

Don't wait! Visit https://communityfoundation.org/students/educational-loans/ to learn more and join an information session on September 24.

Designed to support post-secondary students in need of financial assistance, the Foundation's student loan program offers students one $3,000 loan each year they are enrolled in school, and can receive a maximum of four loans (a total of $12,000) over the span of their undergraduate, graduate, and/or postsecondary education.

We're seeking consultants and/or consultant partnerships to support nonprofits build stronger, more sustainable organizations through capacity-building services in:

🔹 Fundraising strategy and resource development and/or
🔹 Board development, governance, and leadership

We are especially interested in working with consultants who bring an equity-centered, relationship-driven approach, and recognize that effective capacity-building is rooted in an organization's unique mission, community, history, culture, size, and stage of development.
