🧩💙 Rotary Meeting Spotlight! 💙🤝

Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming Dr. Joel Seltzer, psychologist with YAI, as our guest speaker!

Dr. Seltzer shared an informative presentation about YAI’s work supporting children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as the importance of providing individuals and their families with the resources, opportunities, and support they need to thrive. 🌟

We are always grateful to learn more about the organizations and professionals doing meaningful work throughout our communities. Education and awareness help all of us become better advocates and build a more inclusive, compassionate, and supportive community for everyone. 💛🌎

What a fun night out with our Rotary friends from the Mahwah and Ramapo Valley Rotary Clubs! 🎉✨

It was wonderful to come together outside of our regular meetings for an evening filled with great conversation, lots of laughs, new connections, and Rotary fellowship. 🥂😊

One of the best parts of Rotary is the friendships we build, not only within our own club, but with fellow Rotarians throughout our neighboring communities. Together, we share the same commitment to Service Above Self and making a difference wherever we can. 🌎💛

Today, the Rotary Club of Spring Valley joins our nation in remembering the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honoring the extraordinary courage of the first responders, service members, and everyday heroes who answered the call in our country’s darkest hours. ❤️🤍💙

Twenty-five years later, we continue to remember not only the tragedy of that day, but also the remarkable unity, compassion, courage, and service that followed.🕊️

As Rotarians, the spirit of Service Above Self holds special meaning today. May we honor those we lost by continuing to serve our neighbors, strengthen our communities, and choose kindness and unity.

Our thoughts are with the families and loved ones who carry the memory of September 11th every day.

Never forgotten. Always remembered. 🇺🇸🕯️

We were grateful to welcome Kyle Marin from the Alzheimer's Association Alzheimer's Association Hudson Valley NY Chapter, along with our very own Rotarian David Hendler, for an important and informative presentation on Alzheimer’s disease, the resources available to families, and the work being done to support those affected. 🤝💜

We are also proud to support the Walk to End Alzheimer’s and invite our members, friends, families, and community to walk alongside us! 👟✨ Join Team Spring Valley Rotary as we come together to raise awareness, support families and caregivers, and help advance the fight toward a world without Alzheimer’s.

What a fun evening of fellowship, friendship, and baseball at the Rotary District 7210 Night at the Ballpark! 🎉

We had a great time cheering on the Hudson Valley Renegades alongside our District leadership and approximately 40 fellow Rotarians from clubs throughout District 7210! ⚾️🙌

Events like these remind us that Rotary is about more than service; it is also about the friendships and connections we build along the way. 🤝💛 Bringing Rotarians together from across the District gives us the opportunity to exchange ideas, strengthen relationships, and simply enjoy each other’s company!

Thank you to District 7210 for organizing such a wonderful fellowship night. We loved being part of it and look forward to many more opportunities to connect with our Rotary family! 🌟⚙️

We had the pleasure of welcoming Karen Lewis, Executive Director of Development at Rockland Community College, to our Rotary meeting!

Karen gave an excellent presentation about the exciting ways RCC continues to evolve, grow, and create new opportunities for students throughout our community. 🚀

RCC is an incredible starting point for students pursuing their dreams and offering a pathway that can lead from a local community college classroom all the way to some of the nation’s most prestigious universities, including Ivy League schools! 🎓

We were especially impressed to learn about the many scholarships and financial opportunities available to help make college affordable and, for some students, even tuition-free. 💰📚

What a truly fulfilling day as we volunteered alongside Helping Hands of Rockland, assisting with their food truck distribution at Memorial Park. 🚚❤️

It was an honor to help provide meals and essential supplies to our neighbors experiencing homelessness. Every smile, every conversation, and every act of kindness reminded us that even the smallest gestures can make a meaningful difference. 🌟🍽️

What an unforgettable evening as the Rotary Club of Spring Valley celebrated 90 years of service, fellowship, and community impact at our Annual Installation Dinner! 🥂🌟

For nine decades, our club has been dedicated to making a difference by serving our community, supporting those in need, and building lifelong friendships. We are incredibly proud of this legacy and excited for the future. 🤝💛

The evening also marked the installation of our Co-Presidents, Chris Bailey and Chris Sampson! 🎉👏 We are thrilled to welcome this dynamic leadership team and look forward to another year of service, innovation, and positive impact under their guidance.
