Here’s something you should know about us…

Buying books directly from the publishing house is the best way to guarantee that the authors we love receive their full royalties.

Whenever we can, Curious Owl will make sure that we only sell you new books (or new wholesale books where the author has already been paid the royalty).

And these supplies are coming in almost daily right now as we prepare for the GRAND OPENING In Spindale this summer.

🎄 Help Make Christmas Brighter for a Spindale Child 🎄

The Spindale Police Department and Spindale Fire Department are now seeking sponsors for our 2026 Shop with a Hero event.

This program provides local children with the opportunity to shop alongside community heroes during the Christmas season, creating special memories and helping ensure they experience the joy and excitement every child deserves during the holidays.

We are currently looking for businesses, churches, civic organizations, and individual community members who would like to sponsor a child. Every dollar donated goes directly toward supporting children within the Spindale community.

Programs like Shop with a Hero do more than provide gifts. Research has shown that positive interactions with community leaders and first responders help build trust, strengthen community connections, and create lasting memories that can positively impact a child’s confidence and sense of belonging.

The success of this program depends on the generosity of our community. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of local children and remind them that they are valued, supported, and cared for.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out to the 2026 Spindale Food Truck Festival! What an incredible day filled with amazing food, great shopping, wonderful music, and community.
By showing up and shopping local, you helped make a real difference in our community. Your support means so much to all of the small businesses, vendors, and people who work hard to make events like this possible. Supporting local truly matters, and this community showed just how powerful that support can be.
We’re so grateful to every vendor, attendee, volunteer, and especially the Town of Spindale, NC for helping make this event such a success. We appreciate you all and can’t wait to do it again next year. THANK YOU ♥️

🚨 Spindale is the place to be tomorrow! 🚨
The 2026 Spindale Food Truck Festival, a grand opening and lots of vendors at Novie Raes Clothing & Tees, a sale at Tropic Like It's Hot and The Storehouse Thrift Shop and More, vendors and food trucks on Main Street, music, a Kids Play Zone, and a dunk tank benefiting Spindale’s Shop with a Hero program — it’s going to be an amazing day for our community!
Downtown businesses will be open, the food will be incredible, and there will be plenty of shopping and fun for the whole family.
