Today, Thunder Entertainers joined Oklahoma City Public Schools to help welcome students as they walked through the doors for the first day of classes. From high-fives and music to smiles and encouragement, we were proud to help kick off another school year!

Showing love to the teachers in our community 💙

The Thunder, in partnership with Love's Travel Stops, visited Ridgeview Elementary to help kick off the new school year by treating teachers to lunch and delivering gift baskets filled with gift cards, Thunder swag, and two tickets to an upcoming Thunder game to support them throughout the year.

Meet Makeia Brune, a 4th grader from Waynoka Elementary who will represent Oklahoma at the NBA Math Hoops Global Championship in New York City 🏀🧮

Nearly 9,000 students across the state participated in Thunder Math Hoops, presented by Devon Energy, with 19 students earning Global Championship nominations. Makeia was selected by a panel of judges from Learn Fresh for her outstanding work in school and will compete alongside 30 students from across the globe.
