This year's theme is a call to duty for all, reminding us that ๐ฐ๐ต๐ถ๐น๐ฑ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ป ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฒ ๐ป๐ผ๐ ๐ท๐๐๐ ๐ฐ๐ต๐ถ๐น๐ฑ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ป. Rather, they are ๐บ๐ถ๐ป๐ถ๐ฎ๐๐๐ฟ๐ฒ ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐๐น๐๐ whose development relies on meaningful communication. However, the world, communities, and schools aren't creating an enabling environment for children to hear, in order to make meaning out of what life wants to teach them.
Now come to think of that child/children:
1. Whose mother tongue is sign language
2. Whose feedback can be misunderstood because they speak differently
3. Whose emotions are signed
4. Whose privacy services needs a sign language interpreter
5.
